Minutes of the Annual General Meeting

Once the quorum was established the meeting commenced.

Presidents Welcome

Mrs Walsh welcomed the group and thanked everyone for coming, especially those who were new to the SJA meeting.

Apologies

Apologies were received from Sacha Ninon (Chair), Fiona Stock (Vice Chair), Helen Hughes (Vice Chair), Barbara Barrett.

Minutes

The Minutes of the September 2015 AGM were approved.

Election of Officers and Committee Members

A number of committee members were stepping down from their posts as follows:

Sacha Ninon stood down as Chair of the Committee and as Trustee;

Fiona Stock and Helen Hughes stepped down from the shared role of Vice Chair and as Trustees;

Liz Pither stepped down from the role as Treasurer and from the role of Trustee;

Olivia Claffey stepped down from the role of Trustee;

Mrs Millican stepped down from the role of Trustee;

and the following table is the outcome of the new elections:

Treasurer’s Report

The accounts had previously been circulated to the Trustees for feedback. The Financial Statements for the Year Ended 31st July 2016 were approved and signed and have been reviewed and agreed by an independent examiner.

Liz Pither provided a Treasurer’s Report that details a summary of the events and the funds that were raised and organised throughout the last academic year. Please find copy attached.

Liz confirmed her intention to step down from the role as Treasurer and thanked everyone for their support over the last four years. The group thanked Liz for her fantastic input.

Chairpersons Report

There was no report from the Chairperson who had sent apologies.

Any Other Business

There was no other business.

The meeting closed and the SJA committee meeting commenced (see separate minutes).
