Guest Speaker Next Sunday

"A Volunteer representing an organization called Volunteer Missionary Movement will be speaking at Mass on 8th and 9th of August. VMM is a lay Catholic missionary organization whose members volunteer to work alongside local communities in the developing world. Founded in Ireland in 1969, we recruit and prepare committed people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds to work in the developing world. However, in order for us to support our volunteers and projects, we depend on the kindness and generosity of the public. So any contributions donated on the day however small would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to coming and speaking in your parish. "

Patron Day Offerings: Please use the envelope in your box of envelopes or an ordinary envelope with your name and address. Thanks to all those who contribute to the support of the priest in the parish.

Thought for the Week.

We are hooked on T.V. programmes about food. We don’t want the same old thing over and over because we get bored with it. This type of hunger is a potent symbol for the message in today’s readings about satisfying our appetites but never our deepest needs.
