Job Description

Job Title:Premises Officer

Contract:35 hours

Reports to:Facilities & Building manager

Salary:£9.75 hourly (Increasing to £10.20 from 1st April 2018)

Working hours:5 days a week including Saturday or Sunday and occasionally evenings

Location:Cambridge House, 1 Addington Square, London, SE5 0HF

Holiday:Accrued dependent on hours worked – paid quarterly

Special Conditions:In accordance with our Safeguarding Policy, subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check.

Job Purpose

To deliver a first class flexible service, to both Cambridge House, residents and anyone visiting our premises

Key Duties

  • Provide basic maintenance, to include changing light tubes, bulbs, replacing door handles, clearing gullies and drains, painting and any other maintenance task that is within the post holders skill set
  • Set up meeting rooms for both internal and external events, to include testing audio visual equipment, moving tables and chairs, providing hot and cold refreshments.
  • Liaising with clients on the day of booked events and providing support as required
  • Proactively monitoring the building for any repairs required and advise the Facilities and Building Manager of this
  • Complete janitorial duties, to include cleaning the toilets, mopping floors and vacuuming as required
  • To provide cover to front of house reception when required, ensuring that correct processes are followed as directed relating to tenant and visitor signing in
  • Checking daily that fire exits are clear, assisting with evacuations to ensure they run smoothly, attending any post evacuation briefing and liaising with emergency services as required
  • As a responsible key holder,take responsibility for opening and closing the building
  • Ability to attend site in the event of an emergency
  • Cover other Premises Officers shifts as required
