Treasurer Report: -Gina - Balance at end of Feb is $2,994.37.

General Business:-

  1. School Website –Nat & Jennyne have been working with Dutch Media, a lot of time has gone into writing and updating content and it’s almost finished. PFN has a page. We can update with photos or current info. Photos look great.
  2. Parent Representative Update –Jennynewill meet with parent reps once all roles have been confirmed.
  3. Special Person’s Day - Liturgy will run for approximately 30mins. Visiting special people will then be able to have a look in the classroom before returning to the Gathering Place for morning tea.

ACTION -Amanda and Zoe will co-ordinate the morning. Nat will ask to volunteers in the Newsletter. Anne will coordinate with the Year 3 & 4 students to make small tokens/gifts for visiting special people.

  1. Sorbet Day – Jane/Jo S - Was a sensation! Everyone loved it! Takings for the day were $74 which all goes towards the purchase cost of the cups ($234). Approximately 2/3 of sorbet made was paid for. Will work with Anne re the idea of a Token system so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the sorbet. Possible ideas for the future include – Hot Cross Buns (2017), Fruit Salad, Jelly and/or Soup. All can be served in the cups.

ACTION - Jo S will purchase Large Bowls which are 89c each to provide more catering options.

  1. Forum Feedback – Last forum worked great on the laptops. Lots of great feedback. St Francis will not create events on Facebook. Working on a reply to a registered family email for notification of absence from school via the school website.

ACTION - Jennyne will follow up – Follow up calls for students who don’t attend school.

Other ideas for possible forum topics– Fundraising ideas, School Sports & Activities, Guest Speakers (Jennyne will enquire if Dan Petro is available to speak to parents) on behaviour, Parent information about anything related to the classroom. Please email all ideas of possible topics to

  1. Gathering Place Kitchen – ACTION - Paula & Zoe will set a date for kitchen clean up.
  2. 2016 Parent Skill Set Document – So far 11 families have completed online.

ACTION – Nat will organise to send a paper copy home to families.

  1. Fundraising Policy – Has been finalised. Thank you to Nat!
  2. PFN Event Planningfor 2016
  • Pie Drive – Wed 27thMay Gina will change the delivery time to 1pm. Order forms will go out during the last week of Term 1 and will be due back Week 1 of Term 2. Will advertise in the newsletter that all fundraising will go towards our new adventure playground and include ‘An average of $2-$4 per purchase from each pie goes to your school. Thank you for your fundraising efforts.’All agreed on the prices as presented by Gina. Nat will forward a school logo to Gina.
  • Trivia Night – A Saturday night during Term 2. Jo M will work out possible dates with Greg from St Ives Trivia.
  • Bonfire Night – 17th June, 5pm. Available for purchase – Sausage sizzle, hot Milo in a mug & glow bands. Tick sheet to go to families before the night to assist with purchase of catering supplies.
  • Art Exhibition – Friday 29th July for Artwork Auction. Artwork will be on display from Monday 25th July so students can show family and friends their artwork after school. Amanda & Jo will meet with Sharon Tobin for a planning meeting
  • Book Fair – Monday 22nd – Friday 26th August. Carnival Books sounds good. Students will be able to look at books on display during the week and write a wish list. Parents are able to look and purchase if they would like to. Will tie in with our Book Parade which is on Friday 26th August. Jane will follow up.
  • Fair/Fete – Friday 28th October – Invitation be a part of the planning team will go to all families – Planning Meeting will be on Wed 16th March at 7pm at The Goods Shed.

New Business:-

  • List of School Events – To be created and given to all families so they can Save the Date for school events such as the Fair, Athletics Carnival, Mother’s Day Liturgy and Stall, Father’s Day Breakfast & Liturgy. Will confirm all important Parish dates with Anne. Jo M will type and send to Nat.

General Comments:-

A very big thank you to Paula for all her hard work in co-ordinating the orders and delivery of our new school jumpers. They look fantastic! We all really appreciate the many hours you put in behind the scenes.
