2014 OKTOBERFEST ARTS & CRAFTS EXHIBIT

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The exhibit is open from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Saturday. Please make note of the following rules and regulations:

There is a $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE fee for a 10’ x 10’ booth space. You will need to furnish any tables and chairs necessary for your display. Please note this is an outside event, a tent will not be provided.

1.  Per city of Memphis fire department regulations, all tents must be flame retardant. Any tent larger than 120 square feet must obtain a permit from the Fire Marshal’s Office.

2.  Exhibitors are encouraged to sell handcrafted items, however, a limited number of booths will be available for vendors selling those items which are not handcrafted. Food items will not be allowed (This does NOT include products which are pre-packaged mixes, spices etc). Marshmallow shooters, potato guns or any other trajectory items will not be allowed. The Oktoberfest Executive Board reserves the right to request the removal of any items. If you are in doubt, please ask.

3.  You will be able to set up your display on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. and open for business by 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, set up will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. and open for business at 11:00 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted on the grass and/or field. Please bring dollies if needed.

4.  Tents may be set up Friday night even if you plan to only sell on Saturday. Once gates open to the public the loading/unloading area will be closed. It will reopen when the gates close at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.

5.  We are not sure how well the lighting will be for selling your products at night, so bring any kind of lighting you might need. Electricity will be provided at no additional cost.

6.  Security will be provided; however, we cannot assume any responsibility for loss or damage to your goods, funds you have or receive, or for any personal injury.

7.  All exhibitors are responsible for the clean up of their booth area.

8.  SMOKING IS PROHIBITED anywhere in or near the Arts & Crafts exhibit.

9.  Before submitting your application, be sure to read it thoroughly, complete all necessary information, sign the form, and INCLUDE payment. Remember all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

10.  Spaces will be assigned no later than one week prior to the event. You will receive written confirmation of your space assignment at that time.
