St. David's Anglican Church

801 5th Street

Durant, Iowa 52747

Our mission statement and the reason for St. David's existence is to share the love of Jesus Christ, serve others with joy, and expect lives to be changed.

Our strengths center on the fact that we consider our church body to be our spiritual family. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ with a diversity of talents and treasures. We are desiring to look outside of ourselves to move ahead.

We wish to influence our community in as many ways as we can. We would like to work with any group who is short on resources but has the knowledge of who really needs the help. This could be through the school, the police department, the fire department, or other organizations.

We are looking for an energetic person willing to be visible in the community. Being able to relate to younger families and youth development is very important to us. Our leader needs to be grounded in spiritual teachings and principles.

St. David's wants to be open and visible in the community, identifying its needs and expanding our youth outreach. We are ready to go past the edge of our comfort zone in order to accomplish new things.

St. David's hope is to build a vibrant church that is impacting the community with the gospel. On a personal level, we also want to continue to grow in our faith to a deeper level.

At this point our needs will have to be met by a half time rector who is willing to consider full time employment in the future. We are praying for a strong leader who is willing to live and serve in the community.
