Target all of the computers that will be getting the software:
You will need to target your Windows and Macintosh computers separately because the software package is different for the two platforms.
Click the "All Devices" folder in the left pane
In the right pane, highlight the devices
Click the "Target" button
Side Note: You can also target a private group (if you have your computers organized into groups). To do this, click Private groups on the left pane and highlight your group, then click Target. All the members of that group will appear in the Targeted devices tab.In the lower panel, you will see your targeted devices.
If you are distributing to your Macintosh computers, only the Mac computers should be displayed in this panel. After you complete all the following steps for your Macintosh computers, you can navigate back to the target list and click the Reset button. This will clear the list and you can then populate the list with your Windows computers and follow the steps to create a Windows distribution task.
Click the "Distribution" button on the left
Click the + sign to expand Public Distribution Packages
Click on FileMaker85
The packages will appear in the right pane, one for Windows and one for Macintosh OSX computers.
Highlight the appropriate package and click the "Schedule" button
Name the scheduled task using the following standard: Ship-to code Application Version Platform.
The example above, ETS Filemaker 8.5 Macintosh, follows this standard.

On this screen, you could also add devices using a query.
To use a query instead of the target list, select the query from the drop down (The All 8.7 clients query is showing in the screenshot above). You will need to create a query first.
Click on Schedule Task in the left pane
You can choose to start the job immediately or schedule for a later time.
Click the "Save" button
