Danbury Haulage to supply documentation for their activities.
Inspection Results Summary:
  • Haul road was dirty and would seem not been swept for some time.
  • At the time of the visit there was no importation of material from Royal Oak and but processing was taking place.
  • Stock piles in the correct position. The stockpiled material has been pulled back from the surrounding woodland.
  • Stock piles of as raised material are still spilling into the void. This was raised in the last site monitoring report. This must cease immediately as it is contrary to planning permission ESS/63/10/CHL.
  • Road plainings ,rubble and inert soil have been imported into St Clere’s Hall Pit. These materials do not have the benefit of a planning permission and should be removed from site as soon as possible.
  • A water pipe had fallen off the mobile grader. The water was running into the old silt lagoons located behind the concreting plant. This matter was raised with a member of staff for immediate attention.
  • The silt lagoon is beginning to become vegetated.
  • The site is operating without the benefit of a planning permission although an application has been submitted and is waiting determination by the MPA.
Danbury Haulage.
  • Screening machinery in place in Danbury Haulage site.
  • In the March report it was raised that screened material was being put into the void. It would seem that more has been put in since the March report. This should be removed.
  • No screening/crushing going on at time of visit although screening and crushing of materials has been taking place.
  • Danbury Haulage to supply the County Planning Authority with thedocumentation to show the legal status of the activities undertaken by Danbury Haulage. This still has not been done.
It would seem that there have been breaches of planning control regarding operations at St Clere’s Hall Pit and in light of the above unless MPA receives information within 10 working days on how these issues will be resolved Enforcement action may be taken.
