Spruce Point Inn Named to List of 20 Top Reunion Resorts & Spas by Conde Nast Traveler
Invests in Continuous Improvement During Off-Season

Boothbay Harbor, ME (January 5, 2016) – Late in December, Conde Nast Traveler magazine announced its selection of Spruce Point Inn as one of the top 20 resorts in the US for family reunions and for offering one of the top 10 hotel Spas, highlighting the waterfront location, history and range of activities the resort offers. Conde Nast Traveler readers had previously chosen Spruce Point Inn as one of the top 25 resorts in the Northeast. In addition to Conde Nast Traveler recognition, Spruce Point Inn is a perennial TripAdvisor Award of Excellence winner.

Following one of the best seasons in recent memory, the owners of Spruce Point Inn are investing in off-season improvements at the 56-acre resort to provide enhanced service and a fresh impression for 2016 guests. The resort has already begun work in a number of areas, including guestroom appointments and expanded wifi service.

Guestroom detailing includes new furnishings and paint to brighten the 24 guestrooms in the Balsam and Evergreen buildings. Extending the marine palette adopted during extensive room renovations in 2011, the new decorating scheme now incorporates painted pine wainscoting and new window treatments to freshen the decor.

In the kitchen, a completely new prep line will enhance the inn’s catering efficiencies; while at the front of the house, guests will find new diningroom chairs in 88 and other freshening details. Other exterior enhancements include repainting the upper decks in a traditional dark green, adding a swim platform and pool deck furniture at the salt water pool and continuing to refine the landscaping. The sales and marketing team is also in the process of enhancing meeting and events communications and partnerships with local attractions.

“Every winter, after the resort closes for the season, we begin working on new amenities and updates to the guest experience, based on guest feedback,” said Angelo Digiulian, innkeeper with Joe Paolillo of Spruce Point Inn. “Every detail in our guestrooms comes under consideration so that guests always feel the Inn is as fresh and inviting as it can be upon their return. These are the hallmarks of our guest experience and the details discerning travelers such as Conde Nast readers look for. “
