• Spring Garden Update

January 23, 2018

  • One School-One Book:Tomorrow, January 24th, will mark the beginning of this year’s One School-One Book program. All details will be coming home that day after our reveal of this year’s book. We will be hosting a Family Reading Night on February 15th from 5:00 until 7:00 here at Spring Garden. This evening will conclude this year’s One School-One Book Program. The evening will be filled with fun activities, raffles and a one night Book Fair. Look forward to seeing you!
  • We are holding parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, February 7th, between 2:40pm and 5:20pm. Each appointment is 20 minutes long. You may call the office between 8:00am and 2:00pm to schedule an appointment.
  • Students received envelopes for PTA’s Gertrude Hawk Chocolates today. Orders can be taken on the form and also online, so even out of town friends and relatives can order. Every student who sells at least one item wins a prize! This is a huge fundraiser for our PTA with the opportunity to raise lots of funds for SGE students, but we need everyone to participate. Orders will be accepted through February 9th. Orders will arrive before Easter.
  • The next PTA meeting is Thursday, February 1st in the Media Center at 6:30 pm. The primary purpose will be to plan for GARDEN PARTY! This is a phenomenal event that takes support from MANY individuals, so please consider coming to the planning meeting so we can organize committees and dive right in because May will be here before we know it.
  • There will be a Drug Awareness Night, T.I.P.S. (Threats in Plain Sight), held at Manchester Valley High School on February 8, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
  • The FLUency Program has been extended. The deadline to sign up in the FLUency Program, and receive your free thermometer, has been extended to January 31, 2018.

The benefits of this program are:

- A free thermometer

- Ability to track fever, symptoms and medications for easier diagnosis and treatment

- Anonymously ask questions or share comments about your student’s health

- Provides information about illnesses that may be going around and enables the school to act proactively to prevent the spread.

If you have questions about the program, please call the school.

Consider signing up today. This program will not be offered again.

  • Yearbooks are on sale now! The deadline to order yearbooks isn’t until March 16th; however, yearbooks may be ordered online anytime between now and March.

Visit and use yearbook ID code 11060918.
