PUBLIC PRESENTATION

OLD BUSINESS

  • Township Municipal Complex: Nothing to report at this time, we are still in a hold period.
  • Comprehensive Plan:On Wednesday, October 21, I had a meeting with Ann Yost from YSM to discuss parks and ideas for current parks. After that meeting she talked to Greg Maust and Greg asked her to come to a meeting to go over everything up until now with the Board of Commissioners. Tim Ruth suggested she go over everything with the Recreation Commission first. (All in favor)
  • Referee and Umpire payment:John Fullmer, Board of Commissioners president approved for us to move forward with paying referee/umpires the same way until we can have more discussions on what to do for future leagues.
  • Park Maintenance meeting:On Wednesday, October 14, Steve Smith, Craig Ruhl, Eric Lehmayer, Tim Ruth and I went around to each park in the Township. We looked at maintenance and improvements.
  • Ward 4 vacancy: We are still looking for someone to fill the Ward 4 vacancy and the School board representative spot. Deb Hannon and Tim Ruth have some possible leads for the Recreation Commission.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Basketball/Cheerleading: We discussed the scheduling issues we are having with York Suburban and what the next step is for our basketball program. If we do not find another gym/space we may not be able to take registration for grades 7 and up. Eric suggested to look at local churches and Jane made the suggestion to ask the league if we can only play away games. We are looking at trying to get some parents to go to a school board meeting.
  • 2016 Budget:The budget process has started, I had the first meeting this morning. Once everything is finalized you will get copies of the budget.
