TOURNAMENT RULES
1)PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY
a)Only members of the CJMCUSBC or SHUSBC are eligibleto compete in thistournament
i)USBC certified non-members may enter bypurchasing a Special Local Membership ($10.00 total) on site
b)Winners of a National PBA Title over the last Calendar Year are ineligible
c)If you wish to be paired with specific individuals, please send entry forms in together and we will do our best to accommodate. Please note walk-inswill be given lane assignments to best suit the flow of the tournament
2)DRESS CODE
a)All participants must wear a mock turtle neck or polo shirt. Dress slacks, casual trousers and jeans are permitted. Shorts, in good taste, will be permitted (No cut offs). No T-shirts, hats, or sweat pants allowed
3)LANE CONDITIONS
a)Lane Conditions will be pre-determined by the Tournament Committee
4)QUALIFYING ROUND
a)This is a SCRATCH event
b)There will be one (1) qualifying squad consisting of 5games across 10 lanes
c)Maximum of 6 bowlers per pair
d)Bowlers must check-in at least 45 minutes prior to start of the qualifying squad
e)Walk-ins will be accepted as long as spots remain available
i)Entries close 15 minutes prior to start of the qualifying squad
f)Tardy bowlers will receive a zero score for all frames missed
g)Two re-racks permitted per game, additional re-racks must be approved by a tournament official
h)Total 5-game pin-fall at the completion of the qualifying squad will determine qualifying standings
5)CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
a)The top 5 qualifying bowlers will advance to an 2-game single elimination stepladder final with 39 entries or less
b)The top 8 qualifying bowlers will advance to an8-player 2-game single elimination bracket final with 40 entries or more
c)If a tie occurs for any qualifying spot, a one (1) game roll-off will be conducted prior to the start of the finals
i)If the score remains tied, a 9th and 10th frame roll-off will be conducted until a winner is determined
d)The Tournament committee will assign lanes according to seeded position based on total pin-fall fromthe qualifying round
e)Qualifying bowlers will compete in 2-game, single elimination matches with the winners being determined by total pins until a champion is crowned
i)If a tie occurs, a 9th and 10th frame roll-off will be conducted until a winner is determined
6)PRIZES
a)At least one out of every five (5) entries will receive prize money
i)1st Place Winner receives: $1000 (Based on 50 Entries) + Paid entry into 2017 NJ State Masters (date and site TBD)
b)Prize Fund returned 100%
i)Additional income from walk-ins will be added to the Prize Fund
