CHECK-IN

Registration will occur at the pavilion located on the field trial grounds. Units should submit their completed rosters and any outstanding money owed at that time. Check-in time is 6:00 – 8:00pm on Friday. No unit should arrive before 5:00 pm Friday. Pre-registration is essential to help us prepare for your arrival.

CHECK-OUT

Commissioners will complete check-out and site inspection. Upon satisfactory inspection, an adult leader may bring the check-out form to the registration area to receive patches. Units who wish to depart before Sunday 10:00 am check-out should inform camporee staff at registration.

SPL & ADULT LEADERS MEETING AND CRACKER-BARREL

A SPL and Adult leaders meeting and cracker-barrel will be held Friday nightat the Camporee Headquarters. Bring something to share for the Cracker-Barrel! (bologna, cheese, crackers…)

PARKING

All vehicles may only be parked in the designated areas. Parking is limited- units must bring as few vehicles as possible. Parking will be strictly enforced.

EQUIPMENT

Patrol and troop equipment should be consolidated into one vehicle for transfer to the camping area. Only one vehicle at a time per unit will be allowed the camping area. Vehicles should be unloaded as quickly as possible and moved to designated parking area.

CAMPFIRES

No ground fires are permitted. Barrel stoves must be elevated off of the ground. Each unit is responsible for bringing their own stoves and wood. There will be NO firewood at the Camporee. No chainsaws are permitted. Fire safety will be strictly enforced along with Leave No Trace practices.

SECURITY

Only registered Scouts and Scout Leaders will be permitted to attend the camporee. Anyone visiting the camporee must check-in at the registration area for everyone’s safety.

REST ROOMS

Portable toilets will be available at the camporee. These are the only facilities available to the camporee participants. Please be respectful to those that will use the facilities after you. Leave the facilities as you would like to find them. Units will be held financially responsible for damage caused by their participants.

TRASH

You brought it in – you take it out!! We encourage you to use reusable items and to recycle items when you return home. “Leave No Trace”

BEHAVIOR

All Scouts, Leaders and guests should conduct themselves according to the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Remember we are guests of the Antrim Township Community Park and we must leave this campsite better then we found it.

TOBACCO/SMOKING

Adults should refrain from smoking or using tobacco products in the presence of or near any Scouts. Any youth Scout caught smoking or using tobacco products will be asked to leave.

FIRST AID STATION

A first aid station will be manned by qualified personnel for the duration of the Camporee.

WEATHER

Please be prepared to deal with cold and wet conditions that may exist at the Camporee.

PRE-REGISTRATION

All units should pre-registered to attend the Camporee.

Please register by April 28, 2014. All participants should be registered by that date. There will be no refunds for no shows.

CAMPSITES

Campsites will be first-come first-served basis. No Camping trailers will be permitted. You may bring equipment trailers which will need to be unloaded and moved to the parking area. Camporee staff will be on hand to direct traffic and answer your questions. Please follow their instructions. Remember a Scout is obedient.

LIGHTS OUT

A Scout is courteous! All Scouts should be ready for bed at the designated times. Leaders are asked to enforce quiet time after lights out.

PATCHES

Each participant will receive one camporee themed patch.

TRADING POST

We will have a Trading Post set up at the Camporee on Saturday only. We will offer patches, knives, knit hats, and Scout and camping equipment for sale.

The only rule for patch trading is adults trade with adults and youths trade with youths

RELIGIOUS SERVICES

A non denominational worship service will be held at the camporee.

SURVIVOREE BASIC STRUCTURE

After each competition one or 2 Troops will be voted out. SPL’s will vote out a troop or troops at a “Troopal Council” after each event. After the final event all SPL’s will vote for the winner. Each finalist Troop SPL will have a chance to plead for the final vote and answer questions. After being voted out Troops will still compete for each events overall win. An immunity idol will be awarded to the top finishing eligible Troop after each event. Any troop with an immunity idol cannot be voted out. There will be at least 1 hidden immunity idol. A hidden idol cannot be used in the last 2 events. A Troop can use a hidden idol any time before the votes are counted. In the event of a tie vote, a revote will take place with only the Troops tied eligible for the vote. If the vote is still a tie, the troops will then either draw stones or make fire. Every member of a troop must participate in at least one event up to 22 Scouts. No Scout will participate in more than 2 events, unless Troop size requires it.

SPL AUCTION

Each SPL will be given $500.00 Survivor bucks in increments of $20.00. Items will be auctioned 1 at a time. Some items will be a blind auction. (itemswill be covered)

Pole Lashing:

1st Scout unties knotted paracord.

2nd Scout cuts paracord to lengths. (Knife required)

3rd Scout lashes together poles.

4th Scout uses pole to reach a key.

5th scout races to lock box to unlock the immunity idol.

Balancing Act:

1 Troop member

Standing on a brick, scouts continue to add plates, bowels, and cups to a stack that they hold in one hand till the stack falls. Last scout balancing the stack wins the immunity idol.

Bean Bag Bowling:

2 Troop Members

Using 3 bean bags, one Scout tries to knock over 3-5 Cardboard tubes. Second Scout races to retrieve and return bean bags. Bracketed event with 3 to 5 Troops participating in each round.

Tug of War:

5 Troop Members

Grappling Hook Toss:

2 Troop Members

Scouts will toss a grappling hook and drag back a key. Second Scout will race with the key to open a lockbox with an immunity idol.

Puzzle Building:

4 Troop Members

1 at a time 3 members will race out to retrieve puzzle bags. The final member will assemble the puzzle.

Gross Eating Contest:

1 Troop Member

Top 10 in the first round continue. Top 5 in the second round continue. Top 2 compete for the Idol. Top finishing eligible Scout will receive the immunity idol. (last chance to use the hidden immunity idol)

Trivia Competition:

1 Troop Member

10 rounds of Scouting trivia with multiple choice questions. In the event of a tie, one question with a number answer will decide it. Closest to without going over wins of if everyone goes over closest wins.

Tower Building:

1 Troop Member

Using wood blocks, build a tower to 5’. First eligible Scout wins the final Immunity idol and decides which other troop will sit with them in the final Troopal Council.

WEBELOS/CUB SCOUTS

Webelos and Cub Scout Dens are invited to visit the camporee, as always, but are not allowed to stay overnight.
