Spitfire launches DualStream® SF for voice and data connectivity

2September2013

Spitfire, the leading ISP and internet telephony service provider, has launched DualStream® SF. The SF stands for Synthetic Fibre and the new service combines a fibre circuit for data connectivity with a 2Mb SDSL circuit for Voice over IP. Should the SDSL circuit fail then the voice traffic will automatically failover to the fibre circuit to ensure resilience for voice telephony.

DualStream® SF is the ideal solution for customers that want high bandwidth connectivity for voice and data, but cannot justify the £400 a month cost for an all fibre solution. With Spitfire DualStream® SF customers have a superfast internet connection over fibre and a separate VoIP circuit with in-built backup at an economic price.

Spitfire can offer customers access to the UK’s widest range of market leading, competitively priced VDSL, SDSL, ADSL or Ethernet circuits over the company’s own core network. There is also a range of competitively priced back-up solutions to ensure resilience and business continuity.

Commenting on the launch of DualStream® SF, Tom Fellowes, Sales Director for Spitfire stated, “More and more of our customers are moving to hosted telephony solutions such as Spitfire SIP Communicator and cloud provision of data services, storage and applications. For this they need fast, reliable voice and data connectivity. DualStream® SF provides this at an economic cost for SMEs with the added reassurance of back-up resilience for mission-critical VoIP. We anticipate considerable demand for our new product.”
