Spirit of St Trinians – Models
Purpose
Production of images for use on calendar, greetings cards etc to be marketed to raise money for charity (eg Help for Heroes – subject to confirmation).
Theme
St Trinians is an old-fashioned girls’ boarding school, set in the 1950s. The girls are dressed in a traditional manner, whilst the teachers present a prim, almost Victorian appearance. Despite their charming appearance, the girls are actually little terrors …
Model Requirements
Several models are required, to portray up to 5 schoolgirls and 1 or 2 teachers at any one photoshoot. A number of shoots are planned in order to produce a broad range of images.
Schoolgirls
Models should be able to appear to be a genuine schoolgirl in photographs, so probably not more than early 20s. If under 18, must have written parental permission and appropriate arrangements to be made for chaperoning. Size is not critical, but maximum bust size around 36”. Girls should ideally be relatively short (5’4” or under preferred)
Teachers
Able to style themselves as a prim schoolteacher. Ideally tall (preferably over 5’10”), dress size unimportant.
General
This is essentially a 1950s’ style shoot so appearance must be appropriate, ie piercings in earlobes only (unless hidden by clothing or removable without leaving obvious holes), no visible tattoos, naturally coloured and traditionally-styled, preferably long-ish, hair (hair can be dyed, but not in unnatural colours, eg pink, blue etc).
Models must be able to act out a role and to interact with other models. You should be patient, tolerant and have a sense of fun. Reliability is essential!
It must be emphasised that images will not portray the style that is generally recognised today as “St Trinians”.
Models may be required to participate in events to generate publicity and should be prepared to do so if asked.
Location
The project is based in Somerset, and it is envisaged that photoshoots will take place in the South-West. Exact locations will be decided nearer the time.
Timescale
Photoshoots are planned to take place during July and early August 2009.
