His debut album in 2016 ‘Infected with the Blues’ released in May 2016 earned rave reviews and consistently had international airplay hitting the Top 50 Roots Music Report Blues Charts. Spencer and his original song "Devil Under her Skin" took a 3rd place WIN in the Blues Category at the 2016 International Songwriting Competition! Spencer’s new album ‘Cold November’had an incredible team in the creation including the legendary Eddie Krammer mixed on of the songs on the album! His new original ‘Move on Down the Track’ was a finalist in the Blues Category for the 2017 International Songwriting Competition.It is consistently hitting the top of the Blues Charts and receiving rave reviews around the World. Spencer was honoured and extremely thankful to receive a funding grant from FACTOR Canada which has allowed him to bring his album to incredible heights!

MacKenzie’s drive and work ethic goes beyond that of the typical teenager. Countless hours are spent song writing and travelling each week performing on the blues scene earning praise everywhere he performs. In 2018he toured his new album to many prestigious festivals includingThunderbay Blues Festival, Paisley Blues festival, Tremblant International Blues Festival, Donnacona Blues Festival, Trois-Rivieres en Blues, Southside Shuffle, Sarnia Jazz and Blues in the Village, and many more.

In 2016 won the Toronto Blues Society New Talent Search earning a spot to compete at the 2017 International Blues Challenge. In 2017 he won ‘Blues Artist of the Year’ at the Niagara Music Awards and recently took home the 2016 Maple Blues Award for 'New Artist of the Year' and he has just begun his journey!Mackenzie mentions many of his influences such as B.B.
