Lesson 10 Choice Board

You will always be given 4 school nights to complete this assignment. A total of four activities must be completed each week. The four activities that you choose may be in a row, column, or diagonal.

Spelling homework should be completed neatly in your spelling journal.

Write each of your spelling words three times, using a different color for each column. Use your best cursive! / Separate your words into lists of Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives. / Writeeight (8) of your words in a question. Writethe other eight (8) wordsin a statement. (Can you answer your questions?) / Go Tech!
Type your words. Next to each word, write a new word with the same beginning letter, and another new word with the same ending letter.
Write your words in
A-B-C order – and then again in reverse order! / Use all of your words in a story about a family celebration.
/ Write each word and then make up a sentence by using words that begin with each letter of your list word.
Underline each of the beginning letters as you use them.
(example: rain – Rebecca awakened in the night.) / Write each word and then think of two other words that can be
made by using letters from your spelling word.
Do the following for 12 of your words:
1)Write the meaning (Use dictionary.com!)
2)Name the part of grammar (noun, verb, adjective)
3)Write an opposite of the word or create another word using the same letters
4)Write 2 synonyms for the word / Write long sentences using your words. Try to use as many words in each sentence as you can. Make sure you use ALL of your words! Underline the spelling words in your sentences. Use correct punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
Do NOT start any sentences with “A” or “The”! / Write your spelling words and then write a synonym for each word. / Write rhyming words for each of your words. Write a sentence for each rhyming pair.
Use your words to write about what you know about soil. / Write sentences for 8 of your words that state a fact. Write sentences for 8 more of your words that state an opinion. / Use your words to make a list of 10 things that you like and another list of 10 things you don’t like. / Sort your words into groups. Write a sentence to tell about each group.
