PART 1 - GENERAL
1.10 DESCRIPTION
A. MONO-SYSTEMS, INC. two piece surface metal raceway SnapMark™ series SMS3000. The two main components being:
1. BASE SECTION - SnapMark™ SMS3000
2. COVER SECTION - SnapMark™ SMS3003
B. The base section to have a “U” shaped design with flanges on the edges to accept the cover section.
C. The base section to be nominally 10’-0” (3m) in length x 2.75” (70mm) high x 1.50” (38mm) deep.
D. The cover sections shall be nominally 5’-0” (1.5mm) long with flanges that snap on to base section.
E. Wiring devices (furnished by others) shall be held in place with device brackets (SnapMark™ SMS3022).

PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.10 MATERIALS
A. Surface metal raceway to be provided for power and low voltage services as shown on plans.
B. The base section material shall have a nominal thickness of .050”.
C. The cover section material shall have a nominal thickness of .040”.
D. The base and cover sections shall be manufactured of galvanized steel and painted gray or ivory.
E. Base, cover, and components shall be capable of being field painted.
2.11 RACEWAY DESCRIPTION
A. The raceway system shall be single compartment to allow the installation of either power or low voltage wiring systems.
B. Wiring devices shall be secured in place with internal device bracket Catalog#: SMS3022.
2.12 INSTALLATION
A. The electrical contractor shall furnish and install all surface metal raceways complete with appropriate fittings. All fittings shall be furnished by the raceway manufacturer.
B. The electrical contractor shall provide grounding per the National Electric Code and Local Codes.
C. All surface metal raceways shall be installed parallel with, and perpendicular to the structure. All exposed edges, where field cut, shall be coated by the electrical contractor to prevent corrosion.
D. Field cut straight cover sections between specific device covers.
E. All raceways and fittings shall meet the requirements of NEC article 352A.
PART 3 - MANUFACTURER
A. SnapMark™ SMS3000 series shall be manufactured by MONO-SYSTEMS, INC., 4
