SPECIFICATION OF WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT AT THE CULPEPER COMMUNITY GARDEN, LONDON N1

1.0  Client

1.1  The client is the Culpeper Community Garden, a registered charity. The garden is situated between Tolpuddle Street and Cloudesley Road, Islington London N1

2.0  Access to the site

2.1 The site is accessible by vehicle from the junction of Cloudesley Road and Copenhagen Street, into Dignum Street. Parking for a small van is available on site.

3.0 Scope of works

3.1 The scope of works comprises the removal of an existing sink, worktop and hot water heater from the Garden Tea Hut, and their replacement with a new stainless sink and worktop (existing) and hot water heater;(to be sourced) the refixing of an existing electric hob unit; the provision of a new external proximity sensor light; the checking of all electrical circuits in the Hut, and the provision of a Certificate of Electrical Safety with any resulting remedial works charged on an hourly rate for labour plus cost of any new fittings/components required.

4.0 Works to be carried out

4.1 Remove existing worktop, sink, taps and hot water heater and cart away. Remove existing electric hob unit and set aside for re-use.

4.2 Fix only new s/s inset sink unit and worktop, monobloc mixer tap, waste and trap supplied by client, and existing electric hob unit (see attached Drawing No. 193/06A/SK (attached). Provide and fix new electric water heater under worktop.

4.3 Provide and fix new external bulkhead lighting fitting with proximity sensor.

4.4 Check all electrical circuits in the Hut, provide and fix any replacements for faulty fittings and/or circuitry, and provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety for the Hut.

5.0 Quotation

5.1 Your quotation should include an overall price for items 4.1 to 4.3 inclusive of VAT, and an hourly rate net of VAT for the labour only provisions in Item 4.4. Any additional fittings/components required will be paid for against receipted bills.

6.0 Technical liaison

6.1 The Garden’s Treasurer Stephen Mullin, who is an Architect, will liaise on the precise specification of the electric water heater and external bulkhead light, and on the carrying out of the works.

THIS WORK IS URGENT; MANDY WILL BE IN THEGARDEN FROM MON-WED NEXT WEEK INCLUDING BANK HOLIDAY FROM 10 TO 5 FOR SITE VISITS.
