Job Title: Specialist, Direct Response Marketing

Term: Full Time

Location: Toronto, ON

Summary:

This position is responsible for day-to-day coordination and execution of direct marketing activities for CNIB. These activities include, but are not limited to, direct mail, telemarketing, digital initiatives, face-to-face acquisition and other direct response activities.

Essential Duties entail (but not limited to):

  • Acts as project lead on direct response campaigns, working with the in-house production team to ensure each campaign meets its targeted deadline.
  • Proofs/verifies that creative and copy adheres to the appropriate levels of approvals, budget and contains the correct specifications. Ensures that campaign creative is on strategy and on brief.
  • Works closely with designated internal and external resources staff in preparing criteria for data extractions and ensuring timely execution of all data-related processes. Contributes to segmentation recommendations.
  • Distributes campaign briefings, including creative samples, to internal departments; regularly updates internal portal and is a resource for campaign information at CNIB.
  • Monitors campaign and program performance on a regular basis.
  • Contributes to planning process and ensures that campaign activity reflects strategic objectives.
  • Processes expenses and campaign reports in a timely manner. Performs other specific administration functions as required.

Qualifications: (Education, Training, Experience):

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, analytical and organization skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines and to handle multiple projects.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office software and Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of donor database management systems, preferably Raisers Edge.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in direct marketing or relevant fundraising experience. Experience in direct mail a strong asset.
