SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

CLUB NAME:

The responsible service of alcohol is important as it creates support and expectations for clubs to encourage sensible drinking and assists in reducing alcohol related problems both on and off premise. It is mandatory in Queensland for anyone that works in a job that sells or serves alcohol to complete a RSA course.

Taking home this award will be a club that serves alcohol to members and guests in a responsible manner. Judges want to see a club that takes ownership of RSA and approaches it with a well-rounded strategy, exceeding the Government’s code of conduct. Criteria will include evidence that staff have been trained in RSA, provision of security and CCTV and the availability of meals and non-alcoholic beverages.
