What parts of life on Earth would you share with aliens? Would you show only positive things, or both positive and negative things?
Decide on 10 things to represent the different parts of life on Earth. They can be objects, recordings, pictures, computer files, or other things.
Discuss your reasons for choosing each thing.
  • You must submit your presentation outline & introduction on Canvas by the due date. Your instructorwill give you feedback.
  • You MUST upload your presentation on Canvas by the due date/time. If you do not, you may not be allowed to give your presentation!

In your presentation, you MUST:

  • Use PowerPoint or Prezi with minimal text. Include your sources on the last slide of your PPT**
  • 8-10 slides + 1 slide for any citations. What are your sources?
  • Try NOT to use too many words on your slide because you want people to listen to you and not READ!
  • Thoroughly cover ALL information assigned by your teacher (see question box above).
  • Give an introduction to your presentation that tells your listeners the main points of your presentation (an overview) and use appropriate language to signal transitions between ideas. Give an effective conclusion
  • Use a variety of stress and intonation when you speak. No robot voices!
  • Answer questions from the audience at the end of your presentation.
  • Be sure you speak at least 6 mins. Try NOT to go over 8 minutes 

**Here is the form your teacher will use to grade your presentation. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY to make sure your presentation meets these rules.**

Students will receive a group grade for the first 4 rubric categories. Students will be graded individually on delivery and pronunciation (the last 2 rubric categories).
