Spanish II A Syllabus
Course Description
Spanish II A is the first course in the second year of Spanish study(the third course of a four-semester series). Spanish II A focuses on continuing simple present tense and present progressive verbs, vocabulary, grammar, essential idiomatic expressions, dialogues, and an advanced development of reading and writing comprehensive skills. The course also provides exposure to the cultures of Spanish speaking countries.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
· define Spanish vocabulary words and grammar rules
· understand dialogue in Spanish
· reproduce these dialogues orally
· read and write in Spanish
· describe the cultures of various Spanish speaking countries
*NOTE: The suggested time frame for the completion of each unit is just an estimate. This syllabus is based on an 18-week semester. You may work on each unit at your own pace, but keep in mind that you must finish the entire course within the time specified by your school district.
