TOPIC: PROJECT GRADUATION

We need your help in one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Walmart again has allowed us to wrap gifts during the Holiday Season in order to raise money for our Seniors graduating class in 2016. This is a great way to earn Seniors hours and earn casino bucks for our huge Project Graduation event being held on June 4, 2016. Parents of Seniors, if you volunteer, you can also earn casino bucks for your Senior. Please follow the instructions below and sign up, the more the merrier!!! Our fist slot is in a few weeks so we need to sign up fast. Thank you for all your support!

SPANISH CLUB DUCT TAPE THE TEACHER TO THE WALL FUNDRAISER

We got a slow start to our Duct Tape the Teacher to the Wall Fundraiser, but we have really picked up speed the last few days, so we are extending it until next Thursday! We will continue to collect $ until next Wednesday, and whichever 3 teachers have the most $ will be duct taped to the wall on Thursday, Dec., 10th, one during each lunch! Each teacher participating also has a bucket in their room, so bring your change to lunch or their room to see them duct taped to the wall next Thurs.!

TOPIC: PICTURE RETAKE DAY

Picture retakes will be taken in the Cafeteria during all lunches on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015. Please pick up an order form at the diamond. This is pre-pay only! Anyone who wants to purchase a picture package needs to bring a completed form plus payment (or online payment receipt) to the photographer on that day.

TOPIC: SWIMMING

The following Patriot Swimmers competed in The South TISCA Zone competition this weekend: Lauren Glenn, Maddy Davis, and John Pugh. Lauren Glenn set a new school record in the 500 free, 200 free, and the 400 Individual Medley.

John Pugh broke the record in the 50 backstroke. Lauren Glenn went on to compete in the final competition. Swimmers of the Meet: Lauren Glenn, Maddy Davis, and John Pugh.The next competition will be our invitational in January.

TOPIC: WRESTLING

Congratulations to the EVHS Patriot Wrestling Team. The team wrestled at the Georgetown High School Wrestling Tournament. Eleven Wrestlers Competed and Seven Wrestlers medaled at the event.

Wrestlers winning medals were:

Bayne McCravy- 2nd Place

Mathew Pousson- 2nd Place

Kyle Schwartz –3rd Place

Miguel Vivero- 4th place

Jake Rogers- 1st Place

Zachary Wynn- 2nd Place

Lucas Bess- 4th Place.

Best Patriot match of the day award goes to two wrestlers:

Kyle Schwartz- Sprawl to a Cement Mixer win by Pin

Miguel Vivero – 2 on 1 Step over ½ nelson win by Pin

TOPIC: “LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD”

You still have time to "Let Your Imagination Fly!" Turn in your entries for the Reflections program by this Wednesday to the Diamond. The theme is "Let Your Imagination Fly,"and students may enter as many times as they'd like in the areas of literature, photography, visual arts, music composition, film production, and dance choreography. Pick up guidelines and entry forms at the Diamond.

TOPIC: THEATER FUNDRAISER

What is caroloke? It is karaoke with a holiday twist! Come to the Georgetown Square this Friday, December 11 from 6 - 9 PM to join the excitement! For only $5 you can enter the caroloke contest and maybe win a prize. Bring your blankets and watch the fun! Hot chocolate and baked goods will be available for purchase.

There will be a locker meeting at 4:00 pm in room 300 on Wednesday December 9th

Beginning today Dec 7th charging will no longer be allowed in the cafeteria. Please have all of your accounts paid in full before we leave on the 18th.

TOPIC: EAST VIEW TENNIS FUNDRAISER

TOPIC: HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE FOR VETERANS

The Greater Austin Council of the United States Navy League is sponsoring a Holiday Gift Drive and Refreshment event for Austin Area veterans on December 17th at the VA Outpatient Clinic. Over 400 area veterans are expected to attend and the Navy League’s goal is for each and every veteran to go home with a gift. Liberty Battalion NJROTC Cadets will be collecting contributions for this worthy cause before school and at lunch from now until 9 December.Please consider giving a quarter or more to help us reach our goal. A little goes a long way when we pull together.

TOPIC: GIVING TREE

GivingTree: What did you ask for for Christmas? How about making some of your peers' Christmas wishes come true? Starting Tuesday, December 1st through Friday, the 11th, you will be able to grab a bag off thegivingtree, located near the front office, fill it up with goodies that your middleand high school peers would like, and return it to room 207 or room 408 to help someone's Christmas be a little brighter.

Blue Santa: Attention Students! Student Council is sponsoring a Blue Santa Toy Drive here at East View, December 1st through 11th. Drop your new toys off in thebox near the front office.

TOPIC: DIAMOND QUEENS

There is an informational meeting tomorrow, December 8, at 8:20 or at 3:45. If you haven’t picked up an application yet, you can do so at the meeting!

TOPIC: “BEARY”CHRISTMAS FROM CLASS OF 2019

We are selling Christmas Bears for ourfundraiser. The bearswill be personally delivered to your loved one on Friday Dec 11. Stop by the giant teddy Bear during the morning andall lunches next week! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdayand purchase a bear for $10.00 with a special message. Have a Merry Beary Christmas!

TOPIC: TOY DRIVE DEC 2-DEC 15

In collaboration with the Williamson county head start program the East View Lady Patriots Softball & basketball teams are collecting toys in order to give 75 Children Christmas gifts that they may not otherwise receive. Please help us fulfill a wish of a 3-4 year old boy or girl by donating a new, unwrapped toy. We will be collecting until December 15th. On December 17, we will take the gifts to the Head Start Center and spend an afternoon with the kids telling stories and sharing Cookies & treats.

We will also accept monetary donation and we will purchase toys and treats to share with them on December 17th.

TOPIC: BOYS BASKETALL

Is that a bird? Is it a plane? No, it is Superman. Well almost. It is your East View Patriot Boys Basketball team marching into the Patriot Dome to take on Elgin Tuesday night. The JV and Freshmen play at 5:30 with the varsity to follow at 7:00pm. This is our first home game so come on out. We need you to be loud and proud!

TOPIC: KINDNESS MATTERS

This week’s Kindness Challenge is to give someone a hug. It makes the other person feel better and makes you feel better too!
