2014 Winter Age Group Championships

Spectator Information Sheet

Parking: ELAC charges $5 per day for parking in the campus parking structure. They accept cash only.

Closed Deck: Parents please note: this meet will be run with a totally closed deck and closed swimmer patio. (Swimmers, coaches and officials, only) Due to the size of the meet, and the limited space, swimmers should not bring chairs. We will provide folding chairs for swimmers in the patio area. The patio will be covered with a tent with clear sides, and no pop-ups or tents of any kind will be allowed in the swimmer area. There is a small patio outside, where teams may set up if they can find a spot. Parents will be limited to the spectator bleachers and the outside patio.

Bleacher Seating: There will be no athlete seating in the bleacher area. In order to have room for all the parents, we cannot allow athlete seating in the bleachers. No food, drinks, or folding chairs are allowed in the bleachers. Small stadium or bleacher seats are allowed. This is a very large meet and we will need everyone to cooperate with these regulations.

No Standing at the Railing: The fire marshal does not allow standing or sitting in the aisles or the stairways of the bleachers. Please do not stand at the railing to watch or cheer for races.

Meet Marshals: We want to put on the best and safest meet possible for all the swimmers involved. In order to do so, we will have numerous marshals throughout the pool area. They are there to enforce the rules of the meet and keep everyone safe. Please be respectful of our marshals as they work to make this a smooth meet for the athletes, coaches, and officials.

Programs: We are going green this year and will not be producing paper programs. You may find all the meet information free on the MeetMobile smart phone app.

Snack Bar: There will be breakfast food and a few snacks as well as coffee, cocoa, water, sodas, and sports drinks available for purchase at our snack bar. There will be a taco truck just outside the building. If you wish to purchase lunch or dinner, you may do so there.

Rest Rooms: Rest rooms for spectators are located to the sides of the bleachers, behind and underneath, and in the building across the way. Signs will be posted to show the locations.

Timing Assignments: Timing assignments have been distributed to the coaches of each team. Please be on time for your assignments. You will be given a badge which will allow you on deck for timing only. When you have finished your timing assignment, you must return the badge for the next timer.
