Grants can only be awarded to tenant committees or groups who are an unincorporated association and have a bank account in the tenant committee or tenant group’s name. (For information and assistance on how to establish an unincorporated association for your tenant committee or group and bank account please contact SCCH Community Development Officer, Julianne Welch on (02) 4421 5145).

Selection Panel

All Applications for Grants will be considered by the Southern Cross Community Housing Ltd. Tenant Advisory Committee (‘TAC’), which consists of tenants from each region. The TAC will make recommendations to Southern Cross Community Housing about which Grant Applications best meet the Eligibility Criteria.

Grant Approval and Acquittal

If you are successful in your Application, we will provide you with a cheque in favour of your Tenant Group, and a Grant Acquittal Form. Once you have spent your Grant funds, you must provide us with some evidence of how you spent your Grant and what you achieved.

There is no limit to the number of times you can apply for a Grant provided your tenant group only applies once a year. You can apply every year but there is no guarantee of continuing funding or that you will be successful the next year. All Grant Applications will be considered on their individual merits.
