Melinda Butler, of Gainesville, is a Senior ADGA judge and has been judging over 20 years. She currently has LaManchas, Nubians, Saanens and Alpines.She is one of the founding members of the Red River Dairy Goat Association. Having been a 4-H goat project leader as well as coaching teams and individuals that won at Ft. Worth and the Dairy Goat day in Prairie Valley.

Jane Robinette comes to us from Dover, Arkansas after moving from California in 1997. Judging since 1995 she has traveled many states and to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. A Nubian breeder for 35 years, she also has had recorded grades. In 1992 at the National show in Amarillo, she had the very first recorded grade national champion.

SHOW RULES

Entry Fees- $8 per head per ring. POSTMARKED by MARCH 28, 2016. Entry fees must be enclosed with entry form. Late entries (postmarked after March 28, 2016) or entries received without money will be $11 per head with no discount. Late entries will be accepted until 7:30am the day of the show.

This show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association (all sanctioned breeds) and their rules shall govern. The Senior and Junior open shows are separately sanctioned for Alpines, LaManchas, Nigerian Dwarfs, Nubians, Oberhaslis, Saanens, AOPs and Recorded Grades. Both Senior and Junior doe shows will be held in Rings 1 and 2. Registration/Recordation certificates are required for all animals six months of age or older. No copies allowed. A stamped duplicate or faxed application (from the ADGA office) will be accepted for animals under six months of age. Certificate papers must be presented to the Show Secretary before judging shall begin (ADGA rule X1-A-6).

Animals must be in place no later than 8:00 am the day of the show.

BASE DATE FOR SHOW: APRIL 9, 2016 NO MILK OUT

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: All animals must be free of draining abscesses, pink eye, ringworm, external parasites and sore mouth. If the animal is questionable, please leave it at home. SUBSTITUTIONS – within the same breed will be allowed. These animals must be entered with the Show Secretary prior to the beginning of the show.

A Best of Breed animal at this show that is not exhibited in the “Best in Show” class will forfeit the Championship leg earned at this show (ADGA rule X1-J-9).

There will be Champion Challenge classes for Senior Does in all sanctioned breeds in both rings. The entry fee will be the same as other classes. The prefix CH, GCH or SGCH as affixed by ADGA must be on the animal’s registration/recordation certificate, OR presentation of the notification letter, issued by ADGA, in conjunction with the original registration/recordation certificate. The letter is valid for use until December 31 of the year of issuance, after which the certificate of registration/recordation must be officially updated.

Please bring extra handlers, open shows will be run simultaneously.

Overuddered does may be discriminated against by the judges. If you need to relieve your doe of excess milk, please do so into a pail and not on the ground. If your doe leaks milk onto the concrete, please clean up after her. Please be considerate of other exhibitors and their animals. Do not leave animals for extended periods of time in pens that have no bedding in them. You can bring your own shavings or bags will available at check-in for $9 each.

There is no pen fee. There will be no pens available for tack or milk out. However, we will have stalls available for sleeping and tack for a non-refundable fee of 25.00. RV spaces will also be available for a non-refundable fee of 25.00. Please note that there is a limited number of stalls and RV spaces. Please reserve those early.

The show barn will be open at 3 pm on Friday, April 8, 2016, for early arrivals. The registration table will be open from 3-11 pm on Friday and 6:00-8:00 am on Saturday.

EARLY ENTRIES ARE ENCOURAGED SO WE CAN TRY TO MAKE EACH BREED OFFICAL.

The ETGRA and the Navarro County Expo Center will not be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred by exhibitors or visitors; all animals will be shown at owners’ risk. Parents will be held responsible for the actions of their children. Exhibitors are requested to be neatly and appropriately attired, preferably in white; however, dark pants/skirt and white shirt are acceptable.

Receipt of entry will be an agreement by the exhibitor to abide by the show rules. Make sure your does’ tattoos match their registration papers.
