CLASSES

  1. Boys open – upto 25 on 1st January 2017
  2. Girls open – upto 25 on 1st January 2017

  1. Boys JuniorTri – 14on 1st Jan 2017

  1. Girls Junior Tri – 14 on 1st Jan 2017

  1. Boys Mini Tri – 11 on 1st Jan 2017

  1. Girls MiniTri – 11on 1st Jan 2017

Competitors must be a minimum of 8 years old on 1st January 2017 and able to swim 25 metres unaided to enter the above classes
  1. Tadpole Tri with Bean bag throw – 7 and under on 1stJanuary 2017 (no buoyancy aids allowed)

Entries are invited from individuals and teams. Competitors must be members of the Pony Club. In any team the score is the sum of the best three performances overall. Teams will be created by the organisers where appropriate and a mixed-branch team may be placed above a full branch team in the final scoring.

RULES - To be run in accordance with the 2016Tetrathlon Rulebook. Guns to be cased at all times until instructed, loaders must be over 18. One parent/coach will be allowed at the end of each swimming lane. No outdoor footwear in the changing rooms or pool area. HATS MUST BE WORN BY ALL SWIMMERS. Any complaints to be made by Team Managers ONLY please. NO DOGS at the venue under any circumstances. Please do not telephone the school as they are unable to answer any enquiries.

PHASES

Class 1 Turning target, one handed from 10m, swim 4 mins and run 2000m

Class 2 Turning target one handed from 10m, swim 3 minutes and run 1500m

Class 3Turning target, one handed from 7m, swim 3 mins and run 1500m

Class 4 Turning target, one handed from 7m, swim 3 mins and run 1500m

Class 5 Turning target, both hands from 7m, swim 2 mins and run 1000m

Class 6 Turning target, both hands from 7m, swim 2 mins and run 1000m

Class 7 Swim 2 mins, run 500m, Bean bag throw(must be able to swim 25 metres unaided)

Competitors should be available 15 mins before their allotted times. The competition will be organised to make the best use of time dependant on the number of entries.

Photographic Rights- competitors and their guardians give permission for any photograhic and/or TV footage taken of persons or horse/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of the Pony Club.

ENTRY FEEs - £18 per competitor, £12 per additional family member, class 7 £12 per competitor. Cheques payable to “South Berks Pony Club” with the competitors’ name(s) on the reverse (except where a single cheque is paid on behalf of all from their branch) Entries to Brian Goodenough Eling Farm , Hermitage, Newbury Berkshire. ROSETTES for teams and individuals (Boys and Girls) to 6th place and Rosettes to 3rd place for individual phase winners.

Best South Berks in each class, special rosettes to first time triathletes – please indicate with an asterisk on the entry form.

  • Entry fee £18 per competitor, £12 each additional family member and £12 for Class 7 – Payable to South Berks PC please. Late entries are subject to an additional fee of £2 per competitor
  • Indicate swim in METRES plus O/S if outside lane required
  • If a gun is shared by 2 or more competitors in the SAME class, please indicate this by inserting ‘Gun 1’ in the column for each of those involved, then ‘Gun 2’, ‘Gun 3’ etc.
  • The run will be done the same as for the Winter Triathlon final with 10 released at a time.Previous run scores will allow us to create appropiate groups.
