Entries: Postal Entries: Members £4.00 per class, Non Members £6.00 per class. Show day entries: £2. Extra. Rosettes will be given to 5th place.

Rules and conditions of entry:
1. Liability Clause: The organiser has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective everyone must take all precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards. All exhibitors must ensure that they have Public Liability Insurance for an adequate indemnity to protect against their liability and that of their handlers and helpers.
2. All ponies must be registered with the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society.
3. Ponies names and registration numbers must be provided on the entry form which must be signed and returned to the show secretary accompanied by the correct fee, cheques made payable to SWWSPG.
4. The decision of the judge is final.
5. The committee reserve the right to amend or cancel any class and replace a judge if necessary.
6. Exhibitors may not knowingly exhibit a pony that has been bred, sold, leased or produced by the judge or his/her immediate family or employer.
7. Any objections must be lodged within 15 minutes of the completion of a class with the sum of twenty pounds. The deposit will be returned if the objection is upheld,
8. Foals must be a minimum of 3 weeks old on the day of the show.
9. Mares of 3 years with foal at foot may not be shown.
10. Children under 11 years old may not show stallions in ridden classes.
11. Children under 14 years may not show colts or stallions (excluding foals) in in-hand classes.
12. No colts or stallions will be permitted in the young handler classes.
13. Brown ponies are considered black and must be shown in the black in-hand classes.
14. Ponies may be measured at the discretion of the judges or stewards.
15. No spurs to be worn. Whips not to exceed 30ins.
16. All riders must wear hard hats conforming to the current B.S.I. standards whilst mounted. Handlers aged 16 years and under must also wear correctly secured current British standard hard hats when showing in all in-hand classes.
17. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off he/she will not be allowed to re-mount and must leave the ring.
18. Please ensure classes do not clash. No late entries will be admitted after the judge has started.
19. Entry fees will not be returned in any circumstances.
20. Owners must ensure that ponies are not left unattended whilst tied to the side of trailers and lorries.
21. Please do not muck out trailers/lorries on the showground or drop litter.
1. Best Turned out Ridden.
2. Best Turned out In Hand.
3. Lead Rein registered mares and geldings 4 years and over. Riders 8 years and under. Snaffle bridles, lead rein affixed to the noseband. Rosettes to all.
4. First Ridden, registered mares and geldings 4 year and over. Riders 11 years and under. Rosettes to all.
5. Open ridden, registered ponies 4 years and over. Riders any age.
Ridden Championship: 1st & 2nd from classes 3 to 5.
6. Child Handler - Handlers 16 years and under. Judged on handler’s ability to show their pony. Class will be split if entries warrant.
7. Gelding - Any height, any colour, 3 yrs. old and under.
8. Gelding - Any height, any colour, 4 yrs. old and over.
9. Novice - Any age, height or colour, never to have won a first prize at any show.
10. Piebald & Skewbald any height, any sex or age. Class will be split if entries warrant.
BLACKS.
11. Colt, filly or gelding 3 years old.
12. Colt, filly or gelding 2 years old.
13. Yearling colt, filly or gelding.
14. Mare or gelding 4 years old or over.
15. Entire male/stallion 4 years old or over.
Black Championship: 1st & 2nd from classes 11 to 15. Trophy.
COLOUREDS.
16. Colt, filly or gelding 3 years old.
17. Colt, filly or gelding 2 years old.
18. Yearling colt, filly or gelding.
19. Mare or gelding 4 years old or over.
20. Entire male/stallion 4 years old or over.
Coloured Championship: 1st & 2nd from classes 16 to 20. Trophy.
MINIATURES.
21. Colt, filly or gelding 3 years old.
22. Colt, filly or gelding 2 years old.
23. Yearling colt, filly or gelding.
24. Mare or gelding 4 years old or over.
25. Entire male/stallion 4 years old or over.
Miniature Championship: 1st & 2nd from classes 21 to 25. Trophy.
SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP: Ridden Champion, Black Champion, Coloured Champion and Miniature Champion to compete. Trophy to winner.
26. Fancy Dress - Pony and Handler - open to all. Entry Fee £2.00
