The route to and from the start/finish crosses the busy A944. There is an island in the road at the crossing point to facilitate safe crossing. This will not have marshalls present for the entire time of the race.

Once over the A944 there is no area available to warm up in. The roads in the industrial estate to the South of the A944 can be used as a warm up area for those wishing to do so.

MAPSMaps are at a scale of 1:4000, printed on waterproof paper. All maps will be at the start with the exception of course 7 (M/W 12 and under) which will be issued at registration.

TERRAINThis brand new map covers almost all of the residential area of Westhill resulting in a map area of 2km x 1km at 1:4,000 scale. Longer courses will have A3 back-to-back maps. The terrain will be a mixture of suburban housing types of varying complexity giving courses with route choice as the main challenge of the day. Most courses cross small areas of parkland, woodland and grass recreation grounds but with less than 10% of optimum route off tarmac.
