Levi Strauss was born in Bavaria, Germany in 1829. He founded the first company to manufacture blue jeans.He was a German immigrant to the United States. Strauss died in 1902 . A tailor ,Jacob Davis decided to make overalls to sell to the miners. Davis wanted to register a patent, but lacked money. Strauss agreed to help him and they went into partnership. Levi Strauss & Co. began manufacturing the famous Levi's brand of jeans.

Henry Ford was born in 1863.He was the American founder of the Ford Motor Company and father of modern assembly lines( bant usulü üretim) used in mass production (seri üretim). As owner of the Ford Company he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He died in 1947.

Biruni was born in 973 in Kath and died 13 December 1048 in Ghazni, today's Afghanistan.He was a Persian and scholar (alim-bilgin) of the 11th century. He was the first anthropologist (insanbilim uzmanı). Biruni was one of the great scientific minds in all history.

Archimedes was born in 287 B.C. and died in 212B.C. He was a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer. Archimedes designed machines.he was the greatest mathematician of antiquity and one of the greatest of all time.He was killed by a Roman soldier despite orders that he should not be harmed.

Gordon Gould was born in New York City, America , in 1920 and died in 2005. He was a physicist. He invented the laser.

Thomas Alva Edisonwas born in Milan ,Ohio in 1847 and died in New Jersey in 1931. He was an American inventor and businessman. He developed photography and long lasting light bulb. Edison’s major innovation was the first industrial research lab. He holds the record for the most patents with 1093 patents.

The Wright brothers Orville was born in Ohio in 1871 and died in 1948 and Wilbur was born in Indiana in 1867 and died in 1912, were two Americans . They invented and built the world's first successful airplane in 1903.They named their plane as Flyer.

Johannes Gutenburg was a Germangoldsmith and printer. He was born in 1398 and died in 1468.He invented the printing press. He was the first person using movable typeprinting in Europe.

Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinburg,Scotland in 1847 and died in Canada in 1922.His mother and his wife were deaf .His father and his grandfather spent their life on hearing and speech. His research led him to develop hearing devices.But his most important invention is the telephone.

Robert H. Rhineswas born in Boston, in 1922. He invented radio detection and radar.

J.Prespey Eckert was born in 1919 and died in 1995.He was an Americanelectrical engineer and computer pioneer. John Mauchly was born in 1907 and died in 1980. He was an Americanphysicist.They invented the first mechanical computer , Eniac (Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer), in 1946.It was as big as a bus with more than 2000 moving parts.It weighted more than a ton.

John Logie Baird was born in1888 and died in 1946. He was a Scottish engineer and inventor of the world's first working television system.He used a very small screen for the first television in 1926.Poeple first watched the television in his small laboratory in london.

James Wattwas born in1736 and died in 1819 .He was a Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer.He invented the steam engine. From 1774 people used his steam engine in factories all over Britain.His invention brought great changes in Industrial Revolution.

George Stephensonwas born in1781 and died in 1848.He was an Englishcivil engineer and mechanical engineer.He built the first public railway line in the world to use steamlocomotives and is known as the "Father of Railways".

Alessandro Voltawas born in1745 and died in 1827.He was an Italian scientist.He invented the world’s first electric battery in 1800.
