Code of Conduct
All participating members of the Great Lakes Sailfish Swimming (hereafter referred to as GLSS), as well as their parents, must abide by the following Code of Conduct. By joining GLSS, all swimmers and parents agree to follow this code.
The actions of each swimmer, parent, and coach reflect upon the entire club. All swimmers, parents, and coaches are expected to act responsibly and maintain appropriate behavior at all times.
It is fully understood that each GLSS member is responsible for his/her actions at practice, meets and any other GLSS function in such a way that their actions reflect positively on the team.
It is also fully understood that parents are responsible for the actions and whereabouts of ALL of their children at GLSS practices, meets and club functions at all times. Parents who are accompanied by siblings to practice sessions must keep siblings with them in the pool stands at all times. GLSS is a competitive program whose success depends on the continued use of all facilities.
Anyone found defacing or damaging property, disrupting a practice or a meet or breaking any written club policy may be asked to leave GLSS.

- Do not linger in the locker rooms. The locker room is a place to get ready for practice and a place to shower and change afterwards. It is not a social place therefore swimmers should limit their locker room use to 15 minutes.
- Locker room use is limited to GLSS swimmers only. No parents, siblings or friends are permitted.
- Respect the property of others and leave the locker room clean and orderly.
- Remember use of the locker room is a privilege.
- Cell phones and other mobile devices with recording capabilities, including voice recording, still cameras and video cameras increase the risk for different forms of misconduct in locker rooms and changing areas. The USA Swimming Athlete Protection Policies prohibit the use of such devices in the locker room or other changing area:
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action which could include removal from the GLSS.
