Social Media Campaign

Within your group, you will each be assigned to create posts for a specific social media network. Your grade will be made up of a group assessment for your social media campaign plan and an individual assessment for your assigned social media posts.

Writtencomponent:

Paragraph 1: Who is your target audience for your social media campaign? Is your target audience different for each type of social media? If so, how? What is the goal of your social media campaign (ex. Increase brand awareness)?

Paragraph 2: Describe your brand image and why the use of social media will help your business. Explain how you will reach your goal and how you will measure your success towards that goal.

Paragraph 3: Explain the costs associated with your social media campaign. Will your business utilize any paid promotions? If not, how will you get followers? Be as specific as possible. Just because you have a social media account does NOT mean consumers will instantly start following you. Do some research! Be sure to include your source.

Paragraph 4: Research how businesses manage their social media campaigns. Explain how your business will do so (there is a right/wrong answer for this so be sure to RESEARCH). Be sure to include your source(s).

Before you begin you may want to discuss with your group any promotions, contests, or other promotional methods you may be using.

Visualcomponent:

You will need to use an online Graphic Design program such as Canva, BeFunky, Fat Paint, PicMonkey and YouiDraw to create your social media campaign. You should also utilize hashtags where necessary. Remember a hashtag is a tool people can use to search for relevant information so all hashtags must be professional, and ideally something that people are actually searching for.

All images used cannot be copyrighted. You may use appropriate images that you have taken yourself or to find images check out the following websites:

  • Unsplash

Twitter

You will create fifteen tweets to be used for you social media campaign. Each of these should not exceed 140 characters. Five of your fifteen tweets must have a visual component created through Canva. Use hashtags where appropriate. Tweets should not all be repetitive.

Instagram

You will create seven posts to be used for your social media campaign. Each of these should include a small paragraph of information and have a strong visual component. You will also need to include at least ten hashtags for each post.

Facebook

You will create seven posts to be used for your social media campaign. Each of these should include a detailed paragraph of information and have a creative visual component.
