You will need to submit 2 abstracts. The first abstract - which may not exceed 100 words - should be written for a general audience and will be included in the conference program. The second abstract - which may not exceed 250 words - will be used by reviewers to determine if student presentation will be accepted without clarification and by judges to assess presentations for student awards.
Abstract (NO MORE THAN 100WORDS) -If your abstract is more than 100 words, your submission may be rejected for the conference. Otherwise, your abstract may be returned to you for editing or abstracts will be edited by SOARS personnel to 100 words or less. This abstract will appear in the program and should be written for a GENERAL AUDIENCE.

Otherwise, your abstract may be returned to you for editing or abstracts will be edited by SOARS personnel to 250 words or less. This abstract will be used by reviewers to determine organization of presentations, etc.

Please indicate your presentation preference (i.e., poster presentation or oral presentation). We cannot guarantee that individuals will be able to be scheduled for their first choice of presentation type, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Poster presentations will be approximately an hour with sessions in the morning and in the afternoon. Oral presentations will be 10 to 15 minutes including questions and may include a demonstration, PowerPoint, or other visual aid. There will be oral presentation sessions scheduled in the morning and in the afternoon as well. We will take into consideration such things as undergraduate status, discipline, etc. into account when scheduling oral presentations.

If we are unable to assign you to your first choice of type of presentation, are you willing to do the other type of presentation? Every effort will be made to schedule you for your first choice, but the number of submissions may necessitate scheduling some presentations for their second choice. Please keep in mind that if you are unwilling to be scheduled for an alternative venue, we may be unable to accept your submission.

If a Graduate student:
Most graduate students will be scheduled to make a poster presentation. The UNF Graduate School will, however, select a limited number of abstracts and invite these authors to make prestigious invited oral presentations during special graduate symposia in the morning and in the afternoon during the conference. Authors of these presentations will also be recognized during the awards ceremony later in the day. These presentations will be 10 to 15 minutes. If you would like to be considered for one of these oral presentations, please indicate your interest below.
