White Ensign Association (WEA) Visits – May 17
The WEA offers advice on financial matters including mortgages, investments, pensions and debt. Assistance is also available on job-finding and starting your own business. Information is available at www.whiteensign.co.uk. Alternatively, you can attend one of their presentations, held throughout the year at HMNB Clyde and MOD Caledonia. Officers Association Scotland (OA) Visit- 26th Apr 17

Career Transition Partnership (CTP)
Employment Support Programme (ESP) The CTP will be running this one day workshop for service leavers who have served between 4-6 years at the Clyde Education & Learning Centre on a regular basis. They will also be running Career Transition Workshops for personnel with more than 6 year’s service. For details of dates and availability please phone 0203 162 4410.
Employment Fairs. These fairs are an opportunity to network and meet prospective employers. The Scottish employment fair will take place on the 27 Apr 17 at BT Murrayfield Stadium Edinburgh EH12 5PJ. Self Employment. If you are considering whether Self Employment is right for you X Forces run Self Employment Awareness workshops at various Resettlement centres around the country. The workshop can be followed up by a course at RTC Aldershot costing £312.

General Information.
Drop In Clinic. Got a question about learning, education or resettlement come along to the Clyde Education and Resettlement Centre on the 5 April 17 from 1330-1530 for an informal chat with one of our specialists.
Funding for Training. Advice on funding for resettlement is given by the resettlement team who can offer invaluable advice on use of the various methods of funding and how to access them. The Career Transition Partnership is not at liberty to discuss funding issues. If you require advice on funding please contact your local resettlement team who will be happy to assist you.

Project Firefly. If you are leaving the Service and apply to transfer to the Reserves before your discharge date, under Project Firefly, you could take advantage of the Seamless Transfer Scheme. Royal Navy Reserves Engineering Branch. This new branch within the Maritime Reserves is seeking ex regulars under the age of 57 years having previously served in the ME/WE/CIS specialisations. Entry is seamless transfer if currently serving or via the Careers Office if already released. Most personnel will resume their previous Rank/ Rate with corresponding RNR pay scale and if completing a voluntary commitment of 24 days could qualify for a tax free bounty of £1725. You will be attached to your local RNR unit but will be employed in one of the 3 main Naval Port areas providing engineering resource linked to your expertise and experience.
