Slide The Square FAQs
1. How do I buy tickets?
Ticketscan be purchased online viaTicketmaster, by calling 13 61 00 from the 14th December 2016. To avoid disappointment it is advised to pre book your tickets. Alternatively you can purchase tickets on-site at the ticket booth on Swanston St Forecourt at Fed Square from 4th January through to 15th January 2017. Please note fees apply for online, phone and outlet bookings.
2. How long are the sessions?
Slide The Square sessions are 50 minutes long and you can enjoy unlimited slides during that time.
3. What time should we arrive?
Please arrive early for your slide session. Check in for the session will open 1 hour beforehand and we recommend you arrive then to leave plenty of time to check in, go to the cloak room if you need to and get in line ready to slide.
4. What happens if the weather is too hot/windy or cold?
For safety reasons Slide The Square cannot operate if winds exceed 42km/hour. If temperatures exceed 38°C we may also need to consider postponing a session until the weather cools down. The slide will not be closed if the weather is cool or if there is rain. We will only cancel a session if the safety of patrons is at risk. In the event of extreme weather conditions that require us to close the slide for a period of time, we will exchange your tickets for another session. To exchange your tickets, please call Ticketmaster on 13 61 100 or visit the ticket booth on Swanston St Forecourt. We will not refund tickets simply because it is wet, cool or hot.
5. Are there any height/age/weight restrictions?
IMPORTANT: ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 110CM TALL TO SLIDE. This restriction is in place for both safety and insurance reasons and so as to comply with industry standards. There is no age restriction to slide (providing that the slider is at least 110cm) but children under 12 years old must be supervised by an adult guardian at all times and separate tickets will need to be purchased. All sliders also need to be under 120kgs.
6. My Child is under 12 can they slide without me?
Yes they can, if they meet the height restriction of 110cm. However, your child will need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Why not buy a ticket and join them on the slide for a great family day out.
7. Do I need to bring my ticket with me?
Yes you do! In order to get you wristbanded and sliding we will need to see your valid ticket and have it scanned. We advise all sliders show up nice and early so we can get you on the slide as soon as possible!
8. What should I wear/take on the slide?
You will get wet on Slide The Square! Ensure you wear appropriate swimwear and pack a change of clothes. Please also note:
· No naked butts are going down our slide
· Shoes, buckles, badges or anything that can tear the water slide will not be allowed
· No glasses of any kind
· Necklaces, watches, bracelets, earrings and other jewellery should be left at home or in your bag
· Thongs can be held and carried down
· GoPro’s or cameras are permitted as long as they don’t have sharp parts that may damage the slide
· Selfie sticks or GoPro poles will not be allowed.
9. Is Slide The Square accessible for people with disabilities?
Everyone is welcome at Slide The Square, however if you do have a disability or any special requirements we recommend that you let Fed Square know beforehand so we can do our best to accommodate you by calling us Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

The undulating surface of The Square is wheelchair accessible and is marked with an access path. Swanston Street offers the best access to The Square and lift access is available from The Atrium. Please visit fedsquare.com/accessibility for more information.
10. Will there be cloak rooms/change rooms?
Cloak rooms available to keep your valuables nice and dry. Please note that there is a two hour time limit for the cloak room and any bags left at the end of the day will be considered lost property.
Cloak room prices:
· $3 for a small bag (keys, phones etc.)
· $5 for a large bag (clothes, iPads etc.) or backpack
Change rooms are also available free of charge - please see our friendly staff on the day for assistance.
