In this assignment, you will research and create a PowerPoint to present to the class. The topic of the PowerPoint will be about Catholic Relief Services and the programs that it provides for Haiti. See detailed topic information below. This writing assignment will be a cross curriculum project, including the subjects of English, Library, and Computer.

The Catholic Relief Services’ website will be the only source needed for research.

Click on where we serve, click on Latin America and the Caribbean, scroll down to the list of countries, click on Haiti. To locate programs to research, click on the tab programs and select the programs.

Expository Writing

  • Everything should be factual, no opinion or fiction
  • Usually written in the third person point of view – Do not use the second person pronoun “YOU”, or first person pronouns “I” and “We”.
  • Expository writing gives information about a specific topic – an actual person, place, thing, or event.

YOUR EXPOSITORY POWERPOINT

  • USE ONLY CRS’S WEBSITE AS YOUR SOURCE OF RESEARCH
  • THE FINAL PRODUCT WILL BE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION.
  • The PowerPoint will be completed both at school and at home saving to the flash drive – Mostly at home
  • REMEMBER – SAVE POWERPOINT TO POWERPOINT 97-2003 PRESENTATION FOR COMPATIBILITY
  • Include at least one INTERNAL CITATION in your PowerPoint
  • INCLUDE A WORK CITED SLIDE AT THE END OF THE POWERPOINT
