Six Flags Fright Fest!

On Friday, October 21st Mabry Orchestra students will travel by county school bus to Six Flags for an evening at Fright Fest! That is Friday of conference week and an early release day. Students should return to Mabry at 4:10 and the bus will leave for Six Flags at 4:30.

The cost of the trip is $21 and includes admission to Six Flags and round trip transportation via Cobb County school bus (which we will pay for from the fundraiser account). That's a good deal even from the usual group rate. A meal ticket is available for $8.25.

The park is open until 11:00pm. We will try to beat the crowds a little and gather to depart at 10:45pm. That should put us back at Mabry around 11:30pm. A long day, but lot's of fun. If you are not chaperoning, PLEASE be at Mabry by 11:30pm to pick up your child.

We need LOTS of chaperones. I want the kids to be in groups of 5 or 6 with a chaperone the entire evening. If 100 students go we'll need 20 chaperones. We are being given 1 free chaperone ticket for every 15 students. The cost for chaperones will be $14 apiece (or $22.25 with a meal ticket). Only parents or legal guardians of orchestra members may act as chaperones (no older brothers or sisters). Chaperones will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please fill out the form below and return by Thursday, October 13th. Send one check made payable to Mabry MS. Students and parents may use their season ticket passes and purchase a meal ticket separately for $8.25. Students may bring their lunch and purchase admission only for $21. Please make your choice below.

Students should give the form to me and deposit the check in a black receipt box in their commons. This should be a fun night for the orchestra students and I hope as many as possible will participate. Please email me at with questions.
