SIX CASES OF MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT/CAR JACKING

WORKED OUT ON THE ARREST OF ONE AUTO LIFTER

With the arrest of one auto lifter namely Pramod @ Guddu S/o Vikram Singh R/o Gurgaon Haryana, Special Staff of Southwest Distt has succeeded in working out six cases of motor vehicle theft/carjacking. Six Vehicles have been recovered on the instance of accused Pramod @ Guddu

A tip off was received by special staff that some person would be coming near ShaniMandir kakrola to sell a stolen car. On this a team comprising of SI B. S. Gulia, HC.Pawan Kumar, HC Dharmender, HC. Rajeev Kumar, HC. Shri Om, Ct. Akhilesh and Ct. Ashok Kumar were constituted. Acting on this information a trap was laid near ShaniMandir, Dwarka - Kakrola Road and a person namely Pramod @ Guddu S/o Vikram Singh was apprehended in a Maruti SX4 car. On interrogation it was revealed that this maruti SX4 was stolen from Dwarka More Metro Station Parking. On searching the Maruti SX4 car five more Keys of different cars recovered from the dash board of the car. On sustained interrogation Pramod disclosed that he alongwith his associate Rajesh @ Leela s/o Kirpa Ram r/o Dharmapura, Najafgarh had stolen 6 cars from various places of Delhi and Gurgaon and now they were trying to sell these stolen cars. Five more cars were recovered on the instance of Pramod @ Guddu.

Profile of accused :-

Accused Pramod @ Guddu aged about 22 years belongs to village Atta, Bulandshar, UP is a habitual criminal. He has been arrested in several cases earlier also. He came out of jail one year back and after that he again started theft of vehicles. He is expert in breaking locks of Mahindra Bolero cars. He had stolen vehicles from the area of Gurgaon, Rohini, Najafgarh and Naraina in last one year with his associates Rajeev@ Leela who is on run.

BUDDING SNATCHERs NABBED 23-7-2011

With the arrest of MakhanYadav @ Ramesh Kumar S/o Azad age about 32 years & Rahul Kumar Yadav S/o MadanYadav, age about 19 years, both r/o Village NayaTola, Musapur, P.S. Pohra, Distt.-Katihar, Bihar, Special Staff of New Delhi District & the Local Police of Parliament Street have solved the case of snatching committed in the High Security Zone near JantarMantar on 4th July 2011 reported vide FIR No. 124/11 U/s 356/379/34 IPC, PS Parliament Street, New Delhi.

On 04/07/2011, the complainant Sh. Ganga Singh S/o Sh. Dev Singh R/o S-690, School Block Shakarpur, Delhi, employed with M/s LokNath & Co., A-13, Connaught Place, New Delhi, as an Assistant went to Bank of Tokyo, JeevanVihar Building, Parliament Street, New Delhi, for some cash transactions. When he was returning to his office carrying Rs. 1,56,000/- in cash & a bank draft of value Rs. 16,000/-, two Motor Cycle borne assailant wrenched the polythene bag containing the cash & the draft from him near Red Light crossing JantarMantar at about 12.40 PM and ran away.

An incident of this nature taking place in the High Security Zone it was taken as a challenge and a team of Special Staff/NDD & the Local Police under the supervision of Inspr. Arun Kumar, I/C Special Staff/NDD was constituted to solve the case. It was a very tedious and painstaking efforts to examine & analyse all the CCTV footage, bulk data records of mobile service provider and the team found three mobile phone calls as suspicious. They zeroed in on these calls & obtained their details and the ownership of the SIMs was found registered at Mahesh Hotel, PaharGanj. On verification, it was found that they stayed in the Guest House few months ago and they had left the Guest House. However, the manager of the Guest House had kept the I.D. proof i.e. the photocopy of the driving licence, which were found issued from the Varanasi Transport Authority.

The photos on the driving licences were shown to the informers and finally the team succeeded to apprehend both the accused near GurudwaraBangla Sahib, New Delhi. On sustained interrogation both confessed to the crime. They further confessed that Arjun @ Vijay @ VikasSikandarwere also involved in the crime.

Motor-cycle No. DL-1SS-2343 (Suzuki black colour) used in commission of the crime, Rs. 40,000/-, 2 mobile phones, a PAN Card and a Voter I.D. Card snatched from the complainant have also been recovered from their possession.

MODUS OPERENDI

On further interrogation they have confessed that they have obtained fake driving licences from the Varanasi Transport Authority to get easy stay at PaharGanj Guest House and to obtain SIM Cards. All the four accused are residents of the same hamlet. They are illiterate and belong to very poor families. Their main activities are pick-pocketing, bag lifting & snatching. Efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining accused.

Gang of Thieves Arrested. One stolen Electric Transformer of 990 KV worth Rs 8-9 Lacs Recovered.

The Staff of Police Station Kirti Nagar, West District has arrested two accused namely Khurshid Ali s/o Sh. akter Ali R/o WP-570, village- WazirPur Ashok Vihar New Delhi and MohdYunusMalik S/o Sh. Chiddu Ali R/o B-2/42, Sector-17, Rohini New Delhi who were involved in theft of stolen Electric Transformer.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

1. Khurshid Ali s/o Sh. Akhtar Ali agaed 23 years R/o WP-570, Village- Wazirpur Ashok Vihar New Delhi is the thief who stole the transformer.

2. MohdYunusMalik S/o Sh. Chiddu Ali aged 44 years R/o B-2/42, Sector-17, Rohini New Delhi is the Kabari and receiver of Stolen property he has four more criminal cases in his name.

RECOVERY MADE

1. Stolen Electric Transformer of 990 KV worth Rs 8-9 Lacs recovered.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

A team of officers of Police Station Kirti Nagar under the supervision of Sh. J.K.Sharma( ACP/RG) and led by Inspr. RanjayAtrishya SHO/Kirti Nagar, PSI DineshBeniwal, PSI Rohit Kumar ,HC Mahender Singh No 2087/W, Ct. Rajender Singh 907/W, & Ct. SanjeevTomer No.1837/W was constituted to work out the case which initially was got registered vide FIR No. 207/2011 dated 19.7.11 U/s 379 IPC P.S. Kirti Nagar

Brief fact of the case is that a complaint was received from Sh. NarenderSharma , Manager Project Shyma Indus Power Solutions Pvt. Ltd , 129, Transport Center Punjabi Bagh New Delhi. As per the allegations, the company was assigned by NDPL for installation of a transformer of 990 KV at Namdhari Colony Kirti Nagar Sub. Station for upgradation of power supply to the colony. The transformer was installed but the same could not energize as some technical work needed to be completed. On 19.7.2011 the complainant got a case registered pertaining to theft of transformer at P.S. KirtiNagar . On the basis of the complaint Case FIR No. 207/2011 dated 19.7.2011 U/s 379 IPC was registered and a special team was formed. The team started working on clues and the network of secret informers was activated. The painstaking, consistent and methodical working of the team led them to Khurshid Ali S/o Akhtar Ali R/o WP-570 Village Wazirpur Ashok Vihar New Delhi who admitted his role in the theft of the Electric Transformer and initially he was arrested. After his arrest Khurshid Ali took the team to MohdYunusMalik S/o Chiddu Ali R/o B-2/42, Sector 17 Rohini New Delhi from whom the recovery of Electric Transformer was effected.

MohdYunusMalik is scrap dealer (kabadi) S/o Chiddu Ali R/o B-2/42, Sector 17 Rohini New Delhi is an old criminal who was involved in following 4 criminal cases. :-

2. 18/94U/s 379/411 IPC P.s. SaraiRohillaDelhi

ALERT COP NABBED ROBBERS

The Saff of police station Janakpuri has arrested two robbers namely Monu s/o Raghu Raj r/o RZ M-23 Vijay Enclave PalamDabri RoadDelhi and Pawan s/o Ram parsadR/o RZ-G-108 Gali No.3 Vijay Enclave Palam Road red handed. A knife and the robbed cash Rs.1600/- and two Nokia mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS.

  1. Pawan s/o Ram parsad r/o RZ-G-108 Gali No.3 Vijay Enclave Palam Road. Aged 20 years is pursuing diploma course in motor mechanic fromPusa Institute Delhi. He is in 2nd year. He has passed 12th from Govt. School Vijay Enclave. He is also doing BA course (Correspondence) from DelhiUniversity. His father is doing the work of bulb supply. He has committed this crime to entertain his girl friend.
  1. Monu s/o Raghu Raj r/o RZ M-23 Vijay Enclave PalamDabri RoadDelhi aged 19 years is pursuing Diploma course in Civil Engineering from Pusa Institute Delhi. He has passed 12thclass from Govt. School Vijay Enclave Delhi. His Father is a driver by profession.

RECOVERIES

  1. Rs. 1600/- cash.
  2. Two Nokia mobile phone.
  3. One knife.

INCIDENT

On 22.07.11, one AmanRari S/o Sh.SanjivRariu R/o C-2C/237 B. Janakpuri aged 13 years was going to District Centre alongwith his father and friend Nikhil S/o Pawan Kumar R/o WZ-89 Mohan Nagar Pankha Road . As he reached at C-2B Red Light at about 7.15PM, his father was walking behind as he was speaking on mobile phone. Two boys suddenly came there and Rs. 1600/-, one Nokia phone were robbed by them at the point of knife. ASI BabuLal and HC.Ashok Kumar 526/W who were returning police station after attending an Emergency Call saw that public is chasing two boys shouting CHOR-CHOR. Immediately, they along with Ct.Yashpal No.1484/W who was coming from other side overpowered the running robbers. After sustained interrogation, they were identified as Monu s/o Raghu Raj r/o RZ M-23 Vijay Enclave PalamDabri RoadDelhi and Pawan S/o Ram Parsad R/o RZ-G-108 Gali No.3 Vijay Enclave Palam Road. Their search was made and robbed Nokia phone and Rs. 1500/- were recovered from Monu and one Mobile phone Nokia and Rs.100/- and one steel knife were recovered from the possession of Pawan. A robbery case was registered and both were arrested. This could happen only due to the prompt and sincere efforts of the police party. Further investigation to unearth more facts is underway.
