II. Objectives:
Calaocan Elementary School’s ultimate goal is to provide quality education, stress free, safe and conducive learning environment among its clientele- the school children of Sitio Calaocan, Paco, Kidapawan City and its nearby barangays,
III. Scope and Coverage:
Calaocan Elementary School’s pupils, teachers, principal, parents and community
IV. Definitions and Terms:
Bullying – is when a person is picked on over and over again by an individual or group with more power either in terms of physical strength and social standing. Some will describe everything from feelings, effects, consequences and others will describe that bullying is about power and is done in purpose.
Bully - refers to any pupils who commits act of bullying.
Bullied or Victim – refers to any pupils who experiences the acts of bullying or retaliation.

IX. Effects of Bullying
1. Unwilling to go to school

X. Prevention Programs
1. School Level
a. Provides the pupils with positive school climate and environment to the attainment of learning objectives, the development of healthy relationship and the understanding of and respect for individuals among learners.
b. Conducts information dissemination about the Bullying at the school and its bad effects to pupils, parents and the community.
c. Orients the pupils about the School’s Anti-Bullying Policy
d. Periodic assessment and monitoring of bullying incidents in school.
e. Periodic review and enhancement of pupil and personnel’s code of
conduct in relation to bullying.
f. Conducts of activities for pupils, school personnel and on how to
recognize and respond to bullying.
g.Continuing personnel development to sustain bullying prevention
programs.
h. Coordinate with the LGU, Barangay Council and other stakeholders.
2. Classroom Level
a. Provide child friendly and tress free learning environment
b. Reinforce school-wide rules pertaining to bullying and encourage the learners to report any incidence of bullying in school .
c. Building a positive sense of self and interpersonal relationship through the development of self-awareness and self-management, interpersonal skills and empathy, and responsible decision-making and problem-solving.
d. Discussion od issues related to bullying and strategies for responding to and reporting of incidents of bullying.
e. Development of harmonious and smooth relationship, self-esteem and self confidence among learners through partnerships and group tasks in all teaching learning process
3. Parents/Guardians Level
a. Discussions of the anti-bullying policy of the school, emphasizing bullying prevention during PTA meeting and Parenting seminars.
b. Conduct or sponsor education sessions for parents to learn, teach, model and reinforce positive social and emotional skills to their children.
XI. Intervention Program
1. Involve pupils in activities that will address acts of bullying.
2. Implement anti-bullying policy intensively.
3. Invite professional resources.
4. Implement education programs for pupils to be able to recognize, understand and prevent bullying.
5. Conduct trainings for teacher and school officials how to handle different situations of bullying and how to response the incidents.
6. Engage children in making posters for the schools about bullying.
7. Invite a victim of bullying to speak to everyone about bullying and what it can do to a person.
8. Conform to principles of child protection and positive non-violent discipline
9. Help the victim and the bully understand the bullying incident and its negative consequences.

The CPC/ABC shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Conduct awareness-raising programs with internal stakeholders in preventing and addressing bullying.
2. Ensure that the anti –bullying policy adopted by the school is implemented.
3. Monitor all cases or incidents related to bullying reported or referred by the teacher, guidance counselor or coordinator or any person designated to handle prevention and intervention measures.
4. Make the necessary referrals to appropriate agencies, offices or persons, as may be required by the circumstances.
XIII. Procedures in Handling Bullying Incidents in School
1. Immediate Response
a. The victim or anyone who witness or has personal knowledge of a bullying incident or retaliation shall immediately call the attention of any school personnel.
b. The school personnel who was notified of a bullying incident or retaliation shall intervene.
c. Stop the bullying or retaliation immediately.
d. Separate the pupils involve.
e. Remove the victim or, in appropriate cases, the bully or offending pupil, from the site.
f. Ensuring the victim’s safety by:
Determining and addressing the victim’s immediate safety needs; and
Ensuring medical attention, if needed and securing a medical certificate, in cases of physical injury.
g. Bringing the bully to the Guidance Office or the designated school personnel.
2. Reporting the Bullying Incident or Retaliation
a. A victim, school personnel who receives information of a bullying incident or retaliation, or any person, who witnesses or has personal knowledge of any incident in bullying or retaliation, shall report the same to the teacher, guidance coordinator or counselor or any person designated to handle bullying incidents.
b.The bullying incident or retaliation shall be immediately reported to the school head. The designated school personnel shall fill up the Intake sheet as provided in DepED Order No. 40, s 2012
c. The school Head or school personnel shall inform the parents or guardians of the victim and the bully.
3. Fact-finding and Documentation
a. The incident will be referred to the Child Protection Committee for counseling and other interventions, referrals and monitoring.
b. Inform the victim and the parents of the steps to be taken to prevent any further acts of bullying or retaliation
4. A bully would be required to undergo rehabilitation by the school, together with his/her parents
5. Take care the needs of the victim and the bully through a planned method of after-care and follow up.
. The school would maintain a public record of bullies and their offenses.
XIV. Implementation of Disciplinary Measures
Depending on the gravity of the bullying committed by any pupil or learner, the school may impose other non-disciplinary measures
