March 31, 2015

Dear Student and Parent of the Class of 2015:

The next seven weeks are in most cases the biggest times of a senior’s school career. These are times of recognition, celebration, a parting of the ways, and a new beginning. It is my sincere hope you will join with our faculty and staff in making these days successful and meaningful.

Enclosed is a calendar of events. Hopefully this will help you begin making plans. Specific information concerning these activities will be coming in the mail or will be published online in the Rocket Review.

Since this is the season for celebration, I remind all to be aware of unsupervised parties. Throughout the past five years, we have talked and written to you on this issue and the dangers of inappropriate behaviors that result from peer pressure. Care enough to get involved in the activities of your student or care enough to say “no” to unsupervised activities.

Each year we read or learn about a negative incident that destroys students or parent’s dreams and plans. For example, student pranks resulting in criminal complaints and suspension from school activities including marching in graduation ceremonies, parties resulting in arrests, seniors failing coursework and not graduating. The list goes on and on. Please work with your student to avoid such a disaster.

We at KHS want nothing more than to celebrate a joyous graduation. Your group of seniors deserves a successful spring and a fine finish. I look forward to you joining with us to make this a spring and graduation we can always remember.

Sincerely yours,

Scott Gunn, Principal
