If accompanying children please ensure that they are kept together, and conducted safely around the building.

Before your party arrives on site to participate in a fun-filled day, we ask that all participants are made aware of the following:

  • Consent forms should be completed and signed - under 18s need to have a parent or guardian’s signature
  • Please declare all medical conditions which may have any impact upon your using a high ropes course
  • Sensible clothing should be worn. No uncovered toes; trainers are best
  • Take off all jewellery and watches. Lockers are provided if personal items need to be stored
  • Empty all pockets
  • Empty mouths. No eating on the ropes course and no chewing gum
  • Do not wander away from your group
  • Do not tamper with harness or clips

OAW recognises that climbing, and high wires activities are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. OAWstaff are trained and assessed to run activity sessions and will at all times proceed in a manner to limit the risk of injury.Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. You must accept that your actions will contribute to the level of your safety and that of the group.

Oasis Hub Wintringham staff will be waiting to welcome you into the reception area; here the consent forms will be checked. Customers must wait until invited to go out to the course area.

Staff will take control of taking you to the harnessing and instructing area. Customers will be given a safety briefing. Staff must be listened to carefully and any customers who are not compliant to their instructions will not be allowed on the course.

The High Wires has different elements to it and customers will be introduced to the area which they will be using. Before commencing, there will be safety checks carried out by the instructors and customers are told not to remove or alter the harnesses once they are in them.

The rules of participation must be adhered to whilst on the course and instructors will bring down anyone who is potentially endangering themselves or others.

Staff/customers who are not using the course must remain outside of the gates and not wander onto the course or distract the instructors at any time.

Once the course is completed, customers must wait until staff askthem to remove their harness.

Groups of children must again be supervised before they leave the reception area, and the coach should be called before exiting.

It should be noted that the entire site is a smoking free one.

Risk Assessments can be seen at reception upon request.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any booking in the event of extreme weather conditions, such as thunderstorms and high winds, or in the interests of safety. In case of any of these events, as much notice as possible will be given and clients will be offered the following options: full refund of course fees or another date. We regret that our liability does not extend beyond this.
