5-Day QUEBEC CITY Tour

May 3-4-5-6-7, 2010

Note: Canadian federal laws require that you abide by specific driver’s hours. Your driver can be on-duty for a maximum of 15 hours (includes servicing, cleaning, travel time prior to your first pick-up and after your last drop-off each evening), driving for a maximum of 13 hours. Your driver must have a minimum of 8 hours sleep each night.

DAY ONE: Monday, May 3rd, 2010
6:15am / Your drivers begin their day and are now on duty.
7:15am / Modern, video-equipped highway coaches (3 x 56 passengers) to pick up your Temple and Temple Activities Directors at Yonge and York Mills (on Yonge Street south of York Mills on the east side at the parking lot just before Miller’s Tavern). Depart for your school.

7:45am / Arrive at your school. Load luggage onto coaches and board.
8:00am / Depart for Quebec City. A lunch stop (not included) and rest stop will be made on route. We recommend that students bring a lunch with them on this day.
5:15pm / Arrive in Quebec City. Check into your accommodation.

6:30pm / Enjoy dinner at Au Relais de la Place d'Armes (included).
7:30pm / Participate in an Evening Lantern Discovery Walk of Upper Town, Old Quebec City as conducted by ghosts from the city’s past!
8:30pm / Board your coaches. Return to your hotel. Overnight in the Quebec City area.
Your drivers must finish driving your group at 9:15pm. They are now off duty.
Evening security (2 guards) is provided exclusively for your group each night from 11:00pm to 6:00am.
DAY TWO: Tuesday, May 4th, 2010
7:00am / Your drivers begin their day and are now on duty.
7:30am / Board your coaches. Depart for breakfast.
7:50am / Enjoy a buffet breakfast at Les Voutes du Cavour (included).
8:40am / BUSES #1 & #2: Board your coaches. Depart for Circus School.
BUS #3: Participate in a Discovery Walk of Lower Town as conducted by a local guide. This is the site of Quebec City’s original “habitation”.
9:00am / BUSES #1 & #2: Enjoy a morning of hands-on activities at Circus School (maximum 100 participants including teachers)! Don’t forget your gym clothes and running shoes!
10:00am / BUS #3: Visit the Musee de la Civilisation to learn more about Quebecois culture.
11:30am / BUS #3: Students will be given time to purchase lunch (not included) on rue St-Jean, supervised by teachers.
12:00pm / BUSES #1 & #2: Board your coaches. Return to Quebec City.
12:15pm / BUSES #1 & #2: Students will be given time to purchase lunch (not included) on rue St-Jean, supervised by teachers.
12:40pm / BUS #3: Board your coach. Depart for Circus School.
1:00pm / BUS #3: Enjoy an afternoon of hands-on activities at Circus School (maximum 55 participants including teachers)! Don’t forget your gym clothes and running shoes!
1:30pm / BUS #2: Visit the Musee de la Civilisation to learn more about Quebecois culture.

7:00pm / BUS #1: Attend an impressive 3-dimensional multi-media presentation entitled “Quebec Experience”. Your group will learn about Quebec’s past, present and future!
BUSES #2 & #3: Participate in a City Exploration Rally of Lower Town!

9:15pm / Board your coaches. Return to your hotel. Overnight in the Quebec City area.

DAY THREE: Wednesday, May 5th, 2010
7:00am / Your drivers begin their day and are now on duty.
7:30am / Board your coaches for a shuttle to breakfast.
7:45am / Enjoy breakfast at Restaurant l’Academie (included).
8:45am / ALL BUSES: Enjoy a scenic countryside driving tour along the Beaupré Coast (see below)!
BUS #1: Highlights include visits to: a copper shop and museum (9:30am), an outdoor bread oven (10:30am), a woodcarver's studio (11:15am) and Sainte-Anne Basilica (12:00pm).
BUS #2: Highlights include visits to: a woodcarver's studio (9:30am), an outdoor bread oven (10:15am), a copper shop and museum (11:00am) and Sainte-Anne Basilica (12:00pm).
BUS #3: Highlights include visits to: Sainte-Anne Basilica (9:30am), a copper shop and museum (10:30am), an outdoor bread oven (11:30am) and a woodcarver's studio (12:15pm).
1:15pm / Enjoy a traditional countryside lunch with local entertainment and followed by a taffy pull at l’En-Tailleur (included).
3:00pm / ALL BUSES: Visit Montmorency Falls.
4:00pm / Board your coaches. Return to your accommodation to freshen up.
5:15pm / Board your coaches. Depart for dinner.
5:45pm / Enjoy a buffet dinner at Le Buffet des Continents (included).
6:45pm / Board your coaches for a shuttle to bowling.
7:00pm / Enjoy an evening of bowling!
9:00pm / Board your coaches. Return to your accommodation. Overnight in the Quebec City area.

DAY FOUR: Thursday, May 6th, 2010
7:00am / Your drivers begin their day and are now on duty.
7:30am / Board your coaches. Depart for breakfast.
8:00am / Enjoy a buffet breakfast at La Vieille Maison (included).
9:00am / BUS #1 & BUS #2: Students will participate in a City Exploration Rally of Upper Town.
BUS #3: Enjoy a visit to the Canadian Odyssey Pavilion on the Plains of Abraham.
10:00am / BUS #1: Enjoy a visit to the Canadian Odyssey Pavilion on the Plains of Abraham.
BUS #2: Your group will visit l’Obsérvatoire de la Capitale for a presentation and bird’s-eye view of the area.
BUS #3: Students will participate in a City Exploration Rally of Upper Town.
11:00am / BUS #1 & BUS #3: Your group will visit l’Obsérvatoire de la Capitale for a presentation and bird’s-eye view of the area.
BUS #2: Stroll along the Dufferin Terrace, the staircase that leads from the Plains of Abraham to the Chateau Frontenac.
BUS #3: Students will participate in a City Exploration Rally of Upper Town.
12:15pm / Students will be given time to purchase lunch (not included) and souvenir shop along rue St-Jean, supervised by the teachers.
1:30pm / BUS #2: Enjoy a visit to the Canadian Odyssey Pavilion on the Plains of Abraham.
2:00pm / BUS #1 & #3: Stroll along the Dufferin Terrace, the staircase that leads from the Plains of Abraham to the Chateau Frontenac.
2:30pm / Participate in a battlefield workshop on the Plains of Abraham as conducted by your Activities Directors. Your group will re-enact the famous battle of 1759!
3:30pm / Board your coaches. Return to your accommodation to freshen up.
5:00pm / Board your coaches. Depart for dinner.
5:30pm / Enjoy a buffet dinner at Les Voutes du Cavour (included).
6:30pm / Board your coaches for a shuttle to your dance.
7:00pm / Enjoy a student dance at the Palace Royal!
9:30pm / Board your coaches. Return to your accommodation. Overnight in the Quebec City area.
Your drivers must finish driving your group at 10:00pm. They are now off duty.
DAY FIVE: Friday, May 7th, 2010
7:30am / Your drivers begin their day and are now on duty.
8:00am / Check out of your accommodation. Load luggage and board.
8:30am / Enjoy a crêpe breakfast Au Petit Coin Breton in Ste-Foy (included).
9:30am / Board your coaches. Depart for your school. A lunch (not included) and rest stop will be made on route.
6:30pm / Arrive at your school.
7:00pm / Drop off your Activities Directors at York Mills subway station.
