Singin’ in the Rain Finale

Part 1

  • Doodoodoodoo: Enter from wings with step and then skip step to places on stage. Leads pass umbrellas to each other in a spin (Lina and Cosmo: stage right, Don and Kathy: stage left)
  • “I’m singin’ in the rain, just singin’ in the rain”- sway side to side with foot kick
  • “What a glorious feeling, I’m happy again”-jazz square, lean to the right side and back to sway
  • “I’m laughin’ at clouds”-low kick (right foot first)
  • “So dark up above”-umbrella pass above head from right to left
  • “The sun’s in my heart”- grapevine, right foot first
  • “And I’m ready for love”- Skippitydoo!
  • “Let the stormy clouds chase”- place umbrella in front, holding handle, leg cross and kick out (right leg first)
  • “Everyone from the place”-circle around umbrella (counter clockwise)
  • “C’mon with the rain, I’ve a smile on my face”-open umbrella and spin
  • “I walk down the lane with a happy refrain, just singin’, singin’ in the rain”-stage formations of moving forward and backward with umbrellas forward and across shoulder. End with sway and closing umbrella

Transition

Group #1- create a small circle, opening umbrella moving clockwise

Group #2-create a small circle, opening umbrella moving counter clockwise

House Group-leave stage and move to the audience

Part 2

  • “I’m singin’ in the rain, just singin’ in the rain”- spins with umbrella on shoulder
  • “What a glorious feeling”-raise open umbrella forward
  • “I’m happy again”-slide back with umbrella down and back hand up, switch sides
  • “I’m laughin’ at clouds, so dark up above”-pass umbrella above head and upside down umbrella spin on front of body (remember when which rows do these moves)
  • “The sun’s in my heart and I’m ready for love”-umbrella pose and spin
  • “Let the stormy clouds chase, everyone from the place”-chorus line
  • “C’mon with the rain, I’ve a smile on my face”-chorus hides behind umbrellas while leads throw hands in the air. Spin umbrellas on second phrase for chorus
  • “I walk down the lane, with a happy refrain”-triangle movement
  • “Singin, just singin’ just singin’ in the rain!”-Random opening of umbrellas, raise umbrellas and pose
