We are seeking a Security Manager to join our ranks to help us continue to grow to meet customer requirements. This is anticipated to be a part time position of approximately 20 – 30 hours per week.

As the Security Manager for our site located in San Diego, CA, the selected candidate will support business initiatives by providing strategic direction to the Industrial Security Program. The selected candidate will manage compliance with U.S. Government security requirements, integrating management, oversight, functional responsibility, and interpretation/implementation of security policy into a seamless well-balanced industrial security program. The selected candidate will represent the business enterprise as its primary security focal point to the customer community and will lead and direct support personnel to achieve successful security compliance reviews. Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • A firm understanding of security policies, procedures and directives applicable to every aspect of the NISP and have performed as a Facility Security Officer (FSO).
  • A firm understanding of Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs)/Intelligence Community Policy Guidance (ICPGs)/Intelligence Community Directive (ICDs) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) experience is also preferred.
  • A strong understanding and oversight of SCIF construction requirements.
  • Ability to provide oversight of the Information System Security Manager (ISSM); therefore, the candidate must possess sound basic knowledge of computer systems and their components and the applicability of NISPOM, Chapter 8 requirements against that knowledge.
  • The ability to analyze problems, make sound decisions, take independent actions, and provide focused solutions to security-related issues impacting the business enterprise.
  • The ability to effectively communicate information to audiences of varying size and complexity, both verbally and through written communication.
  • The ability to successfully interface with senior management and customer executives.

Preferred educational experience is a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a successful candidate will have at least 8 years related experience. (Years of experience may be traded for the degree requirement). Current Top Secret clearance required. Salary commensurate with experience.
