- IP Camera rollouts need to be escalated – a meeting has been scheduled to SMT pending money
- Meeting was held with protection services who recommended 26 cameras be installed at Wartenweiler and also that the library pay carry part of the cost
- Paiki is going to take this up directly with Vincent
- 6 Camera installed – Software installed for Nkemeleng, pending LCS – SM will request meeting invite
- Signage – CR to take to SMT
- Keys for the cages: Cage modification and master key project – Admin working on it.

Managed Print Services – Minolta /
- Signage required regarding print queues for students and pricing, signage to be placed near computers, to be escalated to Minolta
- Waiting for Wits and Minolta for Pricing, still using 2016 pricing
- New signage and pricing between June/July
- Complaint received regarding removal of the machines
- CNS/Minolta busy with the load balancing – on going
- Historical Papers Printer – Working, to log ticket every time.
- Arch student printer is not working due to network issues – call logged to CNS
WIREDSPACE /
- Wits press test collection creation - completed
- Additional updates on LCS Web Team Meeting
Wits Digitization Centre /
- NRF project approved signed off –Waiting for money to be deposited
- Request for expansion of storage –quote sent waiting for delivery
- SD to check the prices for HDMI extension cables
- Will roll out when we receive new machines

- Reportedon Integration between ROCS & WIReDSPace
- Waiting for the date to integrate on Prod from ROCS side
- All Wits computers should run on .Net framework 4.6.1 : Minolta request
- Who will be providing training once integration is completed?

- Oracle Integration
- CAB approved, waiting for resource allocation.
- Issue about Sierra not handling funds bigger than 21 million
- Call was logged with Sierra, Sierra do not have a solution for the problem yet

- Quotation received, waiting for the project plan
- Sierra upgrade – System upgraded to Sierra 3.1.0, to test.
- Sierra App taking time to open – call logged with III waiting for examples

- UPS on the 1st floor was not installed due to safety and health issues
- Waiting on CNS scheduling
- Cabinet move – SM to attend network meeting
LAW /
- SD: to visit every Tuesday and log a ticket for visit
- 35 unsecured machines for the screens - done
ARCH /
- NOTED: SM requested Molefi to modify the students computer cages – ongoing
- Network problem – 3 machines
MGMT /

EDUC /
- Zeta scanner delivered – Installation on Thursday
- One Opac mouse not working – sent via mailing, waiting for feedback
- Education digital signage off – LN to check
BIOPHY /
- Machine will be deployed for Emily
WHSL /
- Remove the 2 “2400” PCs from staff – workroom PC’s
- SD to organise longer network cable for TARA
- Zeta Scanned delivered – Installation on Thursday
GEOMATHS /
- Meeting about the library expanding to Audio/Visual – waiting for first meeting - floor plans received from PIMD – Pending
ENGIN /
- No issues
COMM /
- Computers will be moved to ECR 2 – done to collect old machines
- Projector faulty – waiting for quotation from the supplier
WWL /
- Debra machines at information desk is given problems, waiting new machines
- Chiratidzo’s laptop end of life, to decide on the Laptop or Desktop
- Express machine– LN to replace 2 more machines at the 2nd floor – waiting for power suppliers
- LCS to do optional upgrades to windows 10
- KS done – some network points are very slow
- Problem with Label printer - Done
General
General Issues /

- SD: from May 2017 – Aug 2017
- Any colleague responsible for workroom should ask cleaner to come and vacuum the carpet after staff birthday party or when the carpet is untidy
- Please do not leave wet waste (bones, food, etc.) in the bin in the Workshop, all wet waste must be placed in the kitchen bins
- Help Desk Zendesk:
- Everyone should be checking tickets on the Helpdesk-LCS is short staffed
- Upgrade in text formatting
- Also check the suspended tickets
- CR requested LCS to communicate in a professional and friendly way on Zendesk tickets
- Correspondence needs to be done via helpdesk
- Helpdesk will be audited
- SID to updated Zendesk to show the dates the university was closed
- Customer Relations Management - Awaiting new dates
- If you are going on leave you can transfer your tickets to available agents
- Technicians should close long standing tickets
- SID has updated the Zendesk user portal
- Zendesk invoice was received
- 4 LCS reference books have been received and 2 are still outstanding
