Product Specifications

SIMO ELECTRIC TURBO POWER UNIT

  1. The power unit will consist of a hydraulic radial piston pump supplied with a gravity fed reservoir & driven by a single phase motor.
  2. The reservoir shall be of blow-molded plastic construction and shall have a hydraulic oil capacity of 1.5 gallons (5.5 litters) with a usable volume of 1.3 gallons (4.8 liters).
  3. The motor shall be driven by a 230V AC 60 HZ single phase (2.6 KW at 3540 rpm) 3.5 HP electric motor. The motor should have a starting amp draw of 32 amps and a running amp draw of up to 17 amps at full pressure. The unit power supply must be protected by a 25 amp fuse minimum. The motor is started by an ON/OFF switch, the ring around the switch lights up when the unit is on.
  4. The maximum working pressure to the pump will be limited by a pressure control valve set to 5,000 psi. The low pressure stage shall shift up to 2,000 psi for faster operation. Switch-over from low to high pressure is carried out automatically in the pump.
  5. The power unit is equipped with a simultaneous operation control valve which provides two individual oil flows to each individual circuit allowing the connection of two tools. Both tools can be operated simultaneously and are able to obtain full pressure and flow without interrupting or decreasing the performance of the other circuit. The valves are permanently installed in a connecting block; the block is integrated directly in the hydraulic unit.
  6. The power unit features a TURBO function on the connecting block which allows you to supply double the quantity of hydraulic fluid to one of the two connections. The capability of switching from simultaneous two (2) tool operation to single turbo mode with increased flow shall be achieved with a shift lever located between the two outlets. The TURBO function allows double the quantity of fluid increasing the operating speed of the connected device.
  7. The oil flow rate shall be 2 x 0.96 Gal/min (2 x 3.65 L/min) in low pressure stage at 2,000 psi and 2 x 0.4 Gal/min (2 x 1.5 L/min) in the high pressure stage at 5,000 psi. In the turbo mode the flow rate shall be 1 x 1.94 Gal/min (1 x 7.35 L/min) in the low pressure stage and 1 x 0.75 Gal/M (1 x 2.85 L/ min) in the high pressure stage.
  8. The power unit must use ONLY genuine Hurst Blue® hydraulic fluid being a patented polyether polyol chemistry, providing additives which provide rust oxidation protection and superior anti-wear properties. Hurst Blue® is FMRC approved as a less hazardous hydraulic fluid, 100% synthetic, readily biodegradable, fire resistant, and electrically non-conductive, non-corrosive operating medium.
  9. The fluid requirement for this unit is 1.5 gallons (5.5 l) with a minimum needed volume of hydraulic fluid of 1.3 gallons (4.8 l).
  10. The unit shall be equipped with 2 dump valves.
  11. The unit shall be equipped with two (2) Streamline® mono-coupling connections. Only the female mono-couplings are mounted on the connecting block of the power unit.
  12. The Streamline® mono-couplings shall be made of machined aluminum and hardened steel. The mono-coupling system shall have an interlocking push-twist positive locking capability allowing the twin hose to be connected into a single coupling for safe and quick connection of hydraulic hoses.
  13. The power unit shall be protected by a heavy-duty tubular steel roll cage frame. The frame must surround the engine, reservoir, & pump to protect the unit while being stored and operated.
  14. The power unit dimensions without carrying handles shall be no longer than 19.1” (485 mm) or wider than 17.3” (440 mm) or higher than 17.5” (445 mm).
  15. The power unit shall be able to tolerate an ambient temperature range of -4°F (-20°C) up to +131° F (+55°C)
  16. Noise emissions measured at a distance of 13’ (4 m) no load operation generated 72 dB(A), full load generated 78 dB(A). Noise emissions measured at a distance of 3’ (1 m) no load operation generated 80 dB(A), full load generated 83 dB(A).
  17. The power unit shall be certified as compliant with NFPA 1936, 2015 Edition and shall be labeled as such bearing the mark of TUV, the independent testing agency.
  18. The power unit shall not weigh more than 90.4 lbs (41kg) including oil.
