Below are some of the departments we have within our business with a brief description of their role within the business. Please mark with an ‘x’ below, your top four departments you would prefer to gain experience in.

Technical Data Services (TDS): TDS are responsible for the creation of a range of technical documents for the overhaul, maintenance and repair of Siemens Industrial gas turbines. Tasks can include:
  • Working with overhaul bases to develop ‘jobcard’ instructions for the build and strip of gas generators
  • Technical authoring of documentation
  • Creating graphics and technical drawings using computer software
  • Updating Operation and Maintenance Manuals for customer products to ensure they contain the latest standards and safety information

Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO): MRO are responsible for managing the overhaul process of an engine going through the overhaul facility from a technical aspect and developing overhaul base capability Tasks can Include:
  • Manage design, development and manufacturing of tooling to support overhaul bases and in field maintenance
  • Work closely with TDS team to update and monitor job cards.
  • Develop and manage the program of work for each customer’s engine going through the overhaul facility.
  • Support repair capability and in field tooling issues.

Service Engineering - Technical Support:Service Engineering are responsible for the ownership and delivery of technical solutions for both short term and longer term operational issues of our gas turbine packages. Tasks include:
  • Using Root Cause Analysis tools and techniques to resolve customer issues
  • Authoring Service Documentation such as Service Bulletins, Service Technical Instructions and Troubleshooting Guides.
  • Work closely with the 24/7 Operational Service Desk, Regional Technical Support and Core Engineering teams in support of all issues
  • Interface with the customer to present updates on technical issues

Regional Technical Support:Regional tech support collaborates with various engineering functions within the business to communicate and resolve issues for customers to provide a reactive service to keep the product line functional. Tasks Include:
  • Providing technical support through engineering knowledge to deal with live technical issues.
  • Work with Project managers and Field Service Representatives to organise and facilitate in field maintenance.
  • Enabling customers to organise planned maintenance with the business and relevant overhaul facilities.

Data & Information Services:Data centre is responsible for obtaining reliable data around our product line to allow the business to make decisions, not only on a commercial level but also in relation to our Zero Harm focus. Tasks include:
  • Management and monitoring of technical databases
  • Producing and out sourcing product metrics to support business activities.
  • System management of a variation of different tools/systems

Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM):EHM provide live monitoring of customers equipment to support the business and customers on making educated decisions around equipment and the business. But also have a key focus on safety, striving for zero harm within the business. Tasks include:
  • Risk reduction measures for LTP contracts
  • Remote access links installed at customer sites
  • Real-time interactive remote analysis of data
  • Up to 400 analogue and digital tags automatically transferred hourly to a central database
  • Addressing issues from 1 day plus timescales and pro-actively notifying customers of potential issues

Service Engineering - Controls:Within the Controls Service Engineering team, we provide second line technical support to customers and colleagues for the whole AGT fleet. By utilising both the software and hardware available in the controls lab in Warwick, we are able to perform in-depth issue analysis and software testing, to assist the team in delivering technical solutions and benefits to all our AGT customers. Tasks Include:
  • Modifications and upgrades
  • Software retrofit projects
  • Reactive support for the operational service desk
  • Resolving safety issues

Sales and Marketing:There are a series of departments that connect together to form the sales and marketing team. The global team strives to provide a customer centric, informed and transparent coordination point for Marketing and Sales activity across the AGT service line offerings of LTP’s, Mods & Ups(Modifications and upgrades), Service and Parts portfolio.Tasks include:
  • Monitoring the order intake and contract renewals for LTP’s.
  • Interface withregional sales teams to offer customers a competitive and reliable service.
  • Customer demand forecasting and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Global Product Pricing
  • Customer Business Management (incl. IGT)

Business Centre:The business centre is responsible for bringing together the portfolio of products that we support in Warwick and developing the commercial business case to support the contractual side of our supporting service. Tasks Include:
  • Implementation of supporting policies
  • Generate an accurate and timely executive business plan that covers the financial expectation
  • Manage opportunities and potential hazards to the business through a business perspective.
  • Producing analysis of technical and commercial data to provide contractual advise.

There is the potential possibility for a site visit to our test beds or storage facility, to see our products that we service, on a first-hand basis. (Once yourself, plus parent/guardian, has agreed). In the case that this occurs, you will need to be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE). Therefore please complete the following.
