SHRM of Greater Kansas City Mutual Sponsorship Guidelines
To promote excellence in Human Resource management practices SHRM of Greater Kansas City engages with other organizations to provide HR advocacy, HR education and HR leadership practices to our community.
A mutual sponsorship with SHRM of Greater Kansas City is defined as a relationship where an organization interacts with our chapter to achieve joint objectives for a singular event that align with our mission and values on levels such as financial reciprocity, member/ board engagement and/or corporate social responsibility. A mutual sponsorship provides an opportunity for both organizations to benefit from an exchange of support to promote an event hosted by either organization without a direct financial payment to either organization.

Evaluation Criteria
Mutual sponsorship proposals are evaluated againstseven general criteria. These criteria have been developed to ensure that SHRM-KC establishes partnership relationships that will mutually benefit our organization and the sponsoring organization and will not conflict with other SHRM-KC initiatives.
- Tangible organizational benefits associated with the sponsorship.
- Opportunity to create value.
- Opportunity to reach targeted audiences and build relationships.
- Positive exposure consistent with the SHRM-KC brand.
- Ability to create cross-promotional initiatives.
- Alignment with our missionand values.
- Impact to SHRM-KC initiatives, including: timing, education, events/programs, revenue resources and volunteer resources.
