To receive a presentation by David Kilby – Shropshire Playing Fields Association

  1. QUARRY

To receive an update from the Outdoor Recreation & Assets Manager on the following matters involving the Quarry:

(i) Update of events in the Quarry for 2014.

(ii) Future Play Provision in the Quarry

  1. SHREWSBURY IN BLOOM

To receive an update on both the Regional & National Judging.

  1. RECREATION GROUND MATTERS

To consider the following matters relating to Recreational Sites:

(i) Springfield Recreation Ground – to update on repairs to the Roof Soffits

(ii) County Ground Pavilion:

  1. to seek an in principle agreement for a formal lease to allow the group of resident sports clubs to begin to seek the necessary funding to extend the Pavilion
  2. To update members on the ECB Clubmark Accreditation

(iii) Boiler House Pitch – To seek permission for the temporary use of the site as a Helicopter Landing Pad for the Air Ambulance during upgrades to the Hospital Helicopter Pad

(iv) Monkmoor Recreation Ground – To update members on the Lawn Tennis Association’s interest in the site and wish to create a Centre of Excellence

  1. WWI COMMEMORATIONS

To receive an update on the initiatives the Town Council is involved in between 2014-2018.

  1. MARKETS

To receive an update by the Outdoor Recreations & Assets Manager on the work of the general market including general arrangements, uptake, waiting lists and involvement in wider events

  1. COMMUNITY ACTION DAYS

To review the Town Council’s involvement in multi-agency Community Days over the coming months
